We recommend taking this with a grain of salt for now, but Twitter reporter Erik Davis has tweeted out what seems to be a release schedule for Paramount’s upcoming films. Included on it is what appears to be the animated Transformers movie, listed as being announced for July 19, 2024, about one year after Rise of the Beasts is currently scheduled to be released.
Of course given how the movie industry is ever-changing, especially right now, this could easily be altered in the future and is by no means concrete. As said above we suggest waiting until we learn more, but until then you can speculate and let us know your thoughts on the boards.

Watch the beast within, it's like a crossover in between Bayformers and G1
Q Prime
3 new installments just means there's going to be three more live action movies, including it. You could also say it's a quadrilogy given it follows up on Bumblebee.

Wait i just reread the paramount plus post, they mention rotb and about it being the first of three installments, does that mean there's gonna be a new trilogy starting with rotb? Or is the animated movie apart of these 3 new installments?

It's unknown as of now.
JD The Last Autobot
Does anyone know what animation this movie will use, it will be more like the intro of BB (2018) or like some video game (Fall of Cybertron) or simply something similar to Cyberverse

I agree, and think the best thing they could do is expand the mythos beyond a mcguffin. A war is not just about resources but ideology and culture. A war over resources is interesting, but the economics of war (or descent into it) should take a back stage. Focusing on the friendship between Orion Pax and Megatron (a-la Transformers Exodus) would be a smart move. But, I wouldn't put it past them to have the story be told through a younger bot who learns about the world at the same speed as we do. Probably Bumblebee.
Fallout
i love transformers for how it leans into politicaly relevancy and the human condition but "energy crisis being relevant for 40 years" is such a sad thing to hear.

It would probably make more sense if the Autobots decided Cybertron was a lost cause and simply took the Allspark with them to create a new Cybertron free of Decepticons. Naturally, the Decepticons don't like that idea very much and decide to chase down the Ark to get the Allspark back.
RodimusZero
Well, the idea that they used up their planet’s energy and need more of it makes much more logical sense than they just tossed “their most valuable cultural relic” out into space with no clue where it went and have to go search for it. BULL-SHIT.
Even if, just for a moment going down the Allspark-hole, they had such a totem that needed protecting, they would *at least* send a squad of volunteers with it so they might have a chance of knowing where it ends up. The way they’ve portrayed it in all the fiction from the past few years has been absolutely stupid: Prime just kind of either throwing or accidentally letting the Allspark fly through a portal, then all the Autobots are like “uh…oops. Guess we should chase after that, huh? Hope we find it. Hope it doesn’t land on Unicron or a Decepticon colony planet, well shit, guess we didn’t think this through “
Of course, in this recent fiction, it just *happens* to land on Earth, and they just *happen* to find it there… I’m just angry that it’s just about the laziest storytelling imaginable: we need to get from A to B quick, so …. Magical MacGuffin Time??

I’m in favor of dumping the Allspark as a plot macguffin in favor of something more original. But isn’t searching for Energon the same thing as retreading old plot lines with the Allspark?
TF Hot Rod
I doubt the story will be about the Allspark could exist in this but I doubt it will be the story since the story is about Megatron and Optimus's friendship
RodimusZero
SIGH. I don’t expect the Aerialbots to show up, but if it’s an origin story, I hope it’s more Sunbow than IDW or DW. I’ve always found it much more compelling for Optimus to be reborn from an idolizing “Everyman” youth working at a warehouse, than for some dorky librarian to “reluctantly” accept the Matrix…
… also, PLEASEEEEE NO MORE ALLSPARK!!!
It’s the most obvious mcguffin of all time and serves no purpose!! Leaving Cybertron in search of energy is all the story we need. It was relevant in the 80s, and it’s relevant now.
Lake Buzzard
I want to believe it. Seems Transformers naturally lends itself better to animation then live action.
fallenspartan
I find it pretty funny how they don’t mention TLK underperforming and almost bringing down Paramount.
TF Hot Rod
Doubt it since it's a prequel film about Prime and Megs pre-war but I cannot guarantee Cliffjumper will make it through it.

Now it’s 100% confirmed

It felt like it needed to tie up some loose ends, like reuniting Woody with Bo Peep, who was absent from the third film.
