Via the official Takara Tomy Transformers Twitter, we can share some new official in-hand images of the highly anticipated Studio Series Bumblebee Movie Wheeljack and Brawn.
We have a look at both figures in his robot modes as seen in the epic Cybertron battle and some good shots of their Cybertronian alt modes.
These figures are planned for release in June 2022 for the Japanese market, but you can still find pre-orders for both of them via our sponsors links below which will ship this February 2022. See all the mirrored images after the jump and then share your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

I wish they did this sort of thing with the boxes sooner, to give us a nice big shot of these renders. DEM RENDERS.

Honestly admittedly between this and the open boxes, I guess I wouldn't mind it on these. I just wish there was a better trade-off, like a guarantee that the products have almost no sign of QC issues at least in regards to paint and joint toughness if they aren't gonna let us see like they're making the aspect of toy collecting like loot boxes
Amazon Prime
Imagine if this is how we got the first look at rise of the Beast characters

If you don’t want to deal with Amazon, just do an exchange with TT directly.
But even with AJP, you should not be required to pay any fees as you are exchanging a defective product.
Veridioz
Not a bad solution but they should just do the generations selects way of sealing the box and have a giant white tape covering the top of the box

I've literally been saying this but living your life as an idiot is convenient.
If you're not sure check for retaping. Easy as that and doesn't require a diploma to do.

I mean, I 100% agree with you–I wish they could just leave the packaging as is, sucks not being able to check paint etc before buying a figure, plus a lot of us like to display them in their boxes, or just keep them MISB for that matter. Heck, this whole "no window" business, either closed or with the open hole kills MISB collecting, the open hole gets mangled at just about every retailer + hard to grade/convince someone the toy is "mint" when it's been handled x number of times… and then the closed boxes too–I mean, you may as well just print off a photo of the box and papercraft it yourself, it would be the same difference, no way of knowing/proving that you have the figure in your collection if you can't even see it…
I'm all for saving the environment, but I have a feeling this is way more about cutting costs for Pawtucket, disguised as an environmental issue (greenwashing). Especially, since the kiddie lines were already in the "completely open" boxes–there was really no reason to ruin Marvel Legends, Generations, and now G.I.Joe etc too…
Edit: as an aside, I live in Japan and just got the new "closed box" Wheeljack from Amazon today.. granted Amazon's a crapshoot anyway with what you'll get, as opposed to picking from multiple copies in brick-and-mortar, but sure enough–my Wheeljack has a splotchy Autobot symbol, something I could've seen and returned to Amazon without having to open the box, now I would probably have to pay a restocking fee just to return it. What shit.

Better than the big hole for sure.
However, the way forward is to go backward. Bring back the old packaging. Seeing the figure (without "grope me holes" LOL love that) helps sell toys. Can't wait to see the sales numbers when Hasbro goes completely to closed packages.
I've lost track of how many figures I bought, yet had never planned on buying, because they looked so great when I saw them in the package. Those days are gone.

this is a first.

Takara Tomy New Packaging For Transformers Studio Series Deluxe Class Toys – Transformers News – TFW2005

TAKARA doing it right
Hasbro this is the way forward—closed, cool-looking boxes without the grope-me holes in the front

It's also insanely easy to see if the original tape on a box has been cut.
Things will be 99% the same as they are now. There may be the odd extra idiot that takes the opportunity, but this is literally a non-issue.
octobotimus
Well with the window you can actually see it, so you don't purchase it.
T-Hybrid
Yeah because that wasn't a problem before.

Toys are made to be played with.
Foster
Agreed on thin cardboard – that's definitely a contributing factor as well!

The only problem with this kind of packaging is just inspecting. I like looking at which one doesn’t have missing paint, etc. However, I’ll take this over the windowless thing they’re doing with Legacy and the current Studio Series Legion figures at the moment.

How would you know? You can’t see what’s in the box.
I myself have compared figures before choosing the right one.
