And Fans Toys shares images of their third product updated after FT-48 Jive (Masterpiece Scaled G1 Jazz) and FT-49 Phantasm (Masterpiece Scaled G1 Mirage), now with images of the color prototype of their FT-26 Masterpiece Scaled G1 Hoist.
Fanst Toys take on Hoist proves to be another great cartoon-accurate addition to their Masterpiece Autobots line. Hoist looks bulky and big in robot mode with a solid and big alt mode. The images also reveal that you can extend his waist to make him a bit taller. We also have comparison shots next to other Fans Toys Autobots for scale comparison.
Not much left to say, so check all the images attached to this news post and then let us know your impressions on this new figure on the 2005 Boards!

Search this thread for wheel stuck or something like that. TLDR. You need to disassemble the foot and what is causing the issue is a spring that is too long and causing too much friction. In some way you need to weaken that area. The tips listed shaving the post but I chose to weaken the spring. It works but not perfect. You will learn more as you study the mechanism.

Another issue has presented itself (this time mechanical): I cannot seem to get his right legs wheel armature to move. Transformed to vehicle mode, no problem, but going back to bot mode, the wheel armature is stuck!
I applied some shock oil but it's hard to access the part without disassembly. Anyone else encounter this?

For $100 you may as well get the FT, at least you'll get the quality for your buck. KOs have been costing waaay more than what they're worth in the past few years. Plus, up til now of course, the official was cheaper than the FT version.

Me likey. This figure gives me the G1 toy feels. Makes me wonder if a toy Trailbreaker could be in the works (with a mix of parts from both figures).
However, I have some frosting issue on the windshield, and can't seem to clean it off completely. Maybe it's not fully finished? Has anyone else encountered this?

Had this guy for just under a year. He's a well built and solid figure. Feels absolutely premium. But in the end he didn't look right, i.e. toony enough, for my collection and was a bit tall for my taste. If one isn't focused on screen accuracy, he is a good option though.

Thanks . Had already seen it myself when checking their website. Immediately ordered.
I actually skipped this because of the MP and mostly because I already had FT Trailbreaker and the MP was the cheapest option. And cheap was what I wanted for Hoist, a character I never really cared about (Hoist is ticking off a box). When I finally got the MP I already knew it wasn't what I wanted so I sold it.
At this price, Hitch is perfect for me. Hope we're going to get toy stickers for him, because I'm going to put the toy head on him and think he really needs the stickers to look better.
(Wonder if I could use the animation head to give Trailbreaker a more toy based head?)

Good looking out, just got one. Thanks!

Dang, I’m tempted to jump on that deal. But holding out for a KO of the official MP Hoist. I’m surprised one hasn’t been announced yet! Other recent KO’s of official MP’s have come out pretty quickly…

Absolute steal!

For anyone else who has been waiting, ShowZ has him reduced to USD 100.

I'm waiting for Fanstoys Grapple and Inferno. Hopefully not long

Anyone got both the FansToys and Takara versions for some comparison pics? I think I’m leaning towards FansToys because of the alt mode but some side by side photos couldn’t hurt.

Really did not want to like this one not because it's fanstoys but because it's Hoist.
A really good figure looks much better in hand, he is on the tall side but scale chart accuracy does not bother me so much.
Can retire my badcube Hoist now who could never stand up anyway

Damn, didn't realize the FT version was that tall. I'm glad the official is out now, easy choice. This has been one hell of a journey with these two characters years in the making, and now it's finally over!

I decided to give mine a look and while it has subpar friction that was holding mild poses, it was kind of loose. This is an easy fix and absolutely not a ratchet joint. The screw hole cover is easily accessible and runs to the inner most edge of the leg, barely a fingernail pluck and it was off. Barely a twist with a screw driver and he's holding full splits with no problem now.
