Coming to us on this Christmas eve from a new report on the TFW2005 boards is a possible breakdown of upcoming Transformers store exclusives.
As usual, although it is coming from a trustworthy source, we recommend taking it with a grain of salt until official confirmation is received as plans can still change.
Check it out and let us know what you think after the jump!

I will mention again, even for retools its unusual to only use a mold once… they will probably do a non cell shaded release at some point too.
optimusbee
Highly doubtful. Seems more like the ports are just for backwards compatibility.

That's new technology to me, do they apply plastic in some kind of quick-evaporating acetone-like medium? I'm assuming that they're additive as melting the surface won't increase the grip, or I wouldn't imagine it would?
Tetratron
Wild they're doing Straxus, thought those Marvel figures would have just been easy repaints. Not the biggest Marvel fan but always looking to build up the rogues gallery. Hope they don't go to hard on the cell shading but would be livable.

OR if you are quick and skilled enough sometimes the best option is to use a 3d print pen. risky though if you dont have practice. i like using mine to weld cracked parts, too. usually the parts that need that attention are ABS
Seeaich
A good polyurethane varnish should work, you may want to key the surface for durability. I'd still suggest thin coats, with plenty of curing time between.
Ragnarok Flames
Would polyurethane be a good substitute?
If I can't find Future or anything?

Acrylic floor polish does the trick. Have it on hand whenever I open a figure. S'why my Dions arms don't fall out when I touch him.
Seeaich
Totally slipped my mind about fixing the other way for overtightness, I've hand spun a 5mm bit myself in a TF port or two – ER Grapple in particular comes to mind!
Wompod
occasionally i get ports that are too tight, too, and i have a 5mm drill bit that i just drive by hand for that.
Seeaich
For worst case scenario, actual-pegs-dropping-out looseness, my DefCon One Option is a careful very, VERY, thin smear of superglue around the side of either the port or the peg, depending on which seems to be the main culprit (if the peg's perfectly fine friction wise in other ports it's the port, and vice versa), using a toothpick/cocktail stick – and a LOT of curing time! (of a few hours at least, ideally at least overnight.)
Wompod
I use clear nail polish and it works great. also awesome for loose mushroom pegs.
Wompod
sweet. this is a good digibash, transformation seems workable, could turn the cannon into his pickaxe and still have it work as a cannon barrel like the generations toy.
Michchall
Soft tissue paper jammed in port, clear nail polish or that thing Jobby uses while making cum jokes. I think it was called kiki.
Ragnarok Flames
Is there any effective way to fix loose 5mm joints on like the fossilizers? I bought a wingfinger and an ironworks and they are kinda loosey-goosey in the 5mm ports, I guess.

so… straxus galvatron retool you think?

Me as well. They make great fidgets, and have a nice, kinda cute sillylooking charm to them.
Since the future of the class is currently in question, I'd thought I'd throw in an idea while I'm at it:
Once Animated got a bit more establishment post-Legacy, simplified Core versions of Animated characters who already had properly scaled figures in Generations would have been kinda neat. A callback to the old Legends and Activators figures of the Animated line, as well as scaling with a possible Omega Supreme.
If Core is going away, then I hope they have a spiritual successor to it sometime.
