These pair of Target Exclusive figures were found in Madison WI. This comes months ahead of the original pre-order eta of February 6th 2022. Be sure to keep an eye out for these two while you’re doing your holiday shopping and share you findings in your local sightings thread.
Happy Hunting!
WishfulThinking
I'd rather have Golden Lagoon Earthrise Megatron and Earthrise Optimus Prime.
StarMaverick
What!! I found these a few weeks ago in a PA Target!!! Should have took a photo, lol!
Tytus
Nice looking packaging, but I personally have no interest in these sorts of fake retro figures.
cappeca
I see the price tag and still can't believe it.
DevilGalvatron
Kinda cool. But if you\'re doing Golden Lagoon its all about getting that Beachcomber. Gold hand and full gold variants. Speaking of variants…when are we gonna get Action Master repaints on those odd lil AM cards?
FAKER II
I guess they just want to use them for padding in future waves.
PoweredConvoy
They haven't done Thundercracker or Skywarp yet, which I find surprising.
cryotek
Need to find these. I have the "Optimus Santa" in my POL @ BBTS.
Blitz.
vibin' with the gold leaf on the classic logo. I think I'd buy these just to put them on the wall.
FAKER II
This is exactly the kind of milking the molds repaint I expect from Super7.
I'm still baffled that one of the most obvious repaint themes hasn't been done yet: Autobots in solid fire engine red plastic and Decepticons in solid lavender/purple plastic as homage to the vintage decoys.
barrelks
Actually saw those today here in Washington. I don't follow the line, so didn't know they were new.
Jacer
Found at Target in Madison WI.

I have finite resources so I don't bother with these color variants. I do live in hope that we get a reaction Thrust and Beachcomber this way, but it seems doubtful.
Reaction fans can come hang out in the appreciation thread, away from the persecution of the walmart brigade: The Super7 Transformers ReAction Appreciation Thread
THE-TRANSFORMER
They really need to release a Beachcomber Reaction figure.
Then we could get 3 versions out of it… Normal, Golden hand, fully golden. I'd buy all 3.
Or, could we get an Ultimates version of Beachcomber with swap out golden hand, golden seeker weapons and a whole bunch of animals.
worldsgreatest
I don't need articulation to be modern. The figures are chonky, the designs simplistic, and smashing them together is fun. Pew pew.
Soundwinder
I get the appeal… for certain franchises. For franchises where there's nostalgia for this kind of 5 POA 3 3/4 inch figure, I get it. In the beginning, it made a lot of sense.
But for Transformers? Power Rangers? Any other line where the toys your nostalgic for genuinely had more detail, articulation, and features? It kinda blows my mind.
The closest they are to Transformers toys are Action Masters and they're worse and less accurate than those so… yeah.
Megatronwp38
I really like their packaging art. Other than that I'd rather get the RED series if I were going to collect these kinds of guys. Similar price and more articulated, but I already have a bunch of these types of figures from years past so even though I like them, no need for them.
Chadderbug
What surprises me is how much mileage they're getting out of these little action-master ripoffs.
Ambocalypse
Do you think they knew they'd spend the next handful of decades releasing Golden Lagoon recolors when they wrote the episode because they sure do get mileage out of it
Omegax80
Weird these would see out fast, while previous Target exclusives in various paintjobs still shelfwarm. My target has BOTH the dead Optimus and the shiny ones just lying around.
