General public voting for Toy Of The Year Awards 2021 is now in motion and we have Transformers: Cyberverse Roll & Change Bumblebee nominated for the Best Toy Vehicle category.
Bumblebee Cyberverse Adventures Dinobots Unite Roll N’ Change Bumblebee by Hasbro
Roll out like never before! Kids can take home the magic of what makes the TRANSFORMERS robots More Than Meets the Eye with this DINOBOTS ROLL N’ CHANGE BUMBLEBEE toy, inspired by the courageous AUTOBOT scout from the Transformers Bumblebee Cyberverse Adventures cartoon, as seen on Cartoon Network and YouTube.
You can vote for the nomination via ToyAwards.org*.

I think the fans like these awards and want to root for Transformers to win if the actual best toy was nominated from Transformers. Maybe the rejection is from fans thinking Transformers could have had a chance to win using a better Transformer from this year, not this piece of crap that looks like a Chinese knock-off.
It's like sending Corky out to win the game, instead of your best player.
Or putting your very ugly daughter in a Beauty Contest.

The Velociraptor Jet gets my vote

No paint. No sculpting. Half of a head. $50.
What is this garbage?

Roll and Change Bumblebee as potential Toy of the Year?
Am I so out of touch…?
No, it's the children who are wrong.
Houndini
I didn't say you weren't allowed to care lol, I just don't know why you do. And awards like these really do not and have not ever mattered, they only exist for ego strokes and product promotion.
Jesus christ, $50?! For that??? No wonder nothing Cyberverse except the deluxes sell.
Dragonclaw
Sad when the Transformer isn't even the best transforming toy on the list…
I'm torn between the T-Rex and the Porsche

I hear people talk about any award shows all the time like they matter, so all I am saying is that knowing none of it actually does matter sucks. It used to be fun to think people actually gave awards and accolades to things that actually deserved it. But thanks for thinking I'm dumb and don't know what selling a product is about. You're cools.
And we are allowed to care. It's not edgy to tell people to not care about their hobbies online anymore. Discussing this stuff is why we are here and why you posted to.
Houndini
I mean, weird choice, but who cares? Its best toy vehicle (meaning Paw Patrol and the like), not best Transformer, I don't know why this matters to anyone in the community.
Yeah….thats kind of how selling a product works…
Murasame
This toy looks so bad, I took a look what other toys are up to vote and voted for VTech switch and go Velociraptor. I also liked the Paw Patrol vehicle better than Bumblebee.

When did I say Generations were adults only?
WEEGEE
I hate all of them. Both G1 and and non deluxe cyberverse.
T-Hybrid
Friggin' right?
I'm always greatly amused watching a bunch of grown ass adults crap all over a "gimmick line" like Cyberverse when many of those toys have way more going on compared to most of the G1 toys these same grown ass men hold in such reverence today.
My favorite G1 toys are Getaway and the Seacons. What's funny is people took a huge dump on the RiD Combiner Force teams, but those guys were just about as poseable (if not moreso in some cases) as the original G1 combiner teams.

Cyberverse is for ages 6+
Generations is for ages 8+
They're both for children, it's just that one has an actual budget and appeal outside of its target audience, and the other is Cyberverse.
I work in a toy department. With Christmas upon us, parents are pretty much exclusively buying Kingdom and Studio Series 86 for their kids.
I've had maybe one parent try to find a Cyberverse Bumbleswoop; everyone else is getting Generations. Kids are well aware that they're objectively cooler-looking toys. I've overheard kids call Cyberverse "for babies", even.
I know that's anecdotal evidence, but let's not pretend Kingdom is only getting sold to manchildren. Fossilizers and Weaponizers and these new energon weapons in Legacy aren't there for the adult fans, they're play patterns put there so kids can…. play…. with them. Arcee and Bulkhead not resembling their Prime counterparts are made for children who aren't familiar with the characters.
Hell, even "Generations" alludes to all this. It's not just there to mean "G1 and beyond", it's there to mean adults and children (ie generations) can play with these toys together.
Burnout
Uuuuhhhhh no. If this is toy of the year ( really……this crap would beat unicron? ) the vote is seriously rigged.
Skylanderformer
It's not the the bumbleebee is bad for kids, it's just that the VTech jet is objectively better.
WEEGEE
They had us in the first half not gonna lie.
WhiskyTFoxtrot
Guys, you've got to understand that these are children's toys. They're not made for people who obsess about ankle-tilts, waist-swivels and accuracy to a 1980s cartoon series. They're made for kids who want bright colours, an appealing shape, and lots of play features that are easy to use.
That's why I voted for the VTech dinojet, 'cause that Bumblebee is a badly-made, overpriced piece of crap.
Megasquared
We're adult toy collectors of course we are jaded.

1. it’s still a bad toy vehicle. The vehicle mode isn’t even shown in the nomination image.
2. It’s a thread on tfw2005. Of course we are going to discuss it from an adult fandom perspective.
phoenixliger
A a kid I loved the jumpstarters they always seemed to work for me when I first got them. (Not so much later on) as an adult collector I think they are rubbish
I can see why this appeals to our youngest generation and not us adults
