Via the MegaDream Museum Facebook group we have our first images of the new Magnificent Mecha MM-01 Bumblebee Movie Optimus Prime color prototype.
It seems we have another third party company in the market bringing another rendition of Bumblebee Movie Optimus Prime. According to the information shared, this figure is about 30.00 cm tall and the main body weighs about 1 kilo, fully articulated and featuring a die-cast skeleton, rubber tires, weathering finish, LED eyes, magnetic parts (not specified which ones) and it will include a display base. As we can see from the images, robot mode look very movie-accurate and compact as well as the alt mode.

One unsung part of the new arm kit that I love is the new palms so he can hold the gun better with the poseable hands.

Yeah, still need to finish that… Haha
I'm basically still waiting for the upgrade kit to be reissued, so i can make the storage complete for almost all accessoires, as I'm still keen on having it all…
I got the basic accessoires in, I'll take a picture tonight to show how it looks now.
Still want to modify the parts for easier installation

If a KO got rid of all the dirt/scrapes/rust, to simplify the paint job and make it cheaper/easier to produce, I'd buy it in a second. Prime was CLEAN in the movie:

(proper SILVER stripes would be nice, too)

@The Mad Demobot I just mention the KO due to my disdain for how they're executing the "upgrade kit"…at the price of the main figure, the upg, then to even have an arms kit to boot. Plus that huge honking useless base that could have been made a storage unit…someone is working on I think…let me see… @Furb

I don't know how a KO would work. The figure is pretty darn good on its own, and I feel like making it cheaper would dampen its rep since QC is already iffy in the 3rd party side of things. I mean I'd like a more ROTB accurate energon blades and axe, but that's it.

This thing is still one of the most perfect figures in my collection. That being said, will there ever be a MM-02? or are we just here for more prime repaints. I'd kill to see their take on a 07 prime or bumblebee.

There's a thread on this board somewhere, but it's deader than a Duobot.
The Mad Demobot
There’s a KO supposedly coming? Of the original MM-01?
Atomic Tofu
@daimchoc I hope the supposed KO/KO co for this figure is still on track…I'll buy all THEIR color variants instead of MM

The ROTB version cheats with the new truck pieces, it would them a bit longer than if they just used the engeeneering of this one.

Everything is a simple swap. The back panels simply untab and pop off ball joints, the stacks are just pegged in so grab twist/pull, and the arms are 1 screw that's easy to access by lifting the shoulder pad and extending the arm linkage to expose the screw, then rotate and pull to get the arm out. Should be a 5min thing, 10 if you are really taking your time. It took more effort to swap the cybertronian parts from the other kit.
Furb
I usually pose him with anything other than the fists, so i have to take them off anyway
I just transform him without any hands at all, makes it even easier
Lord Mechatron
Had my set for over a week and still haven't swapped out the arms yet, been a bit busy with work and also getting new figures in lol. I plan on doing this over the weekend, how easy was it to swamp the arms and smoke stacks? Since there's no instructions for this set I'm just preparing myself before I start taking things apart.
*edit*: Sure would be nice if they sold the articulated hands separately. Just boggles my mind that they would produce such a big and expensive figure like this and not bother to have it with articulated fingers. I happen to hear that the articulated figures don't fit well when transforming and it's better to use the static closed fist instead.
Lockon Prime
I believe they will be getting the upgraded arms , just not everything else. You’d still have to buy the first kit separately.
The Mad Demobot
Did they transfer all of that on the new release? I lost track and was looking for a deal and showz(primary third party dealer) had him sold out.
ShylockZeuss
Don't worry it's not broken or anything. It's just that the new arm is from the Nemesis release which has better articulation.

While the new arms are painted more accurately, the main reason for them is actually for the extra articulation at the elbows, as well as it makes the shoulders sit higher on the arms, like they do on the movie. The Cybertronian arm bits actually came with the first kit.
