Thanks to chefatron, we now have an extensive in-hand look at Studio Series Bumblebee Core Ravage, as well as his master, the much-anticipated Voyager Soundwave!
Included here is the duo shown off in both their robot and alt-modes, a variety of robot mode poses, plus comparisons with other Studio Series Bumblebee figures and various versions of Soundwave and Ravage. The two are shaping up nicely and look very accurate to how they appeared in the fan-favorite Bumblebee Cybertron scenes.
Check it out and let us know your thoughts on the boards!

I hope eventually they retool extensively into Balster

The prequel scene was a "last minute" addition, so they didn't bother to go through the whole effort of designing alt-modes and transformation rigs for the majority of the characters in the scene.

Wow Hasbro made alt modes worse than the ER Quintesson Judge. Pretzel engineering.
Szilko
SoundWave\'s alt-mode looks like as if he farted in front of Megatron, who scolded him for it, and now he lives the rest of his life in shame and regret, doing this pose.
RazorclawX
The toy has an alt mode because we'd all riot if he didn't.
The movie didn't call for him to transform, therefore no alt mode. Whether thats a fault of the movie is debatable (whether it should have called for it is a different story).
Ackar
its a dotm shocwave situation
all the budget went into robot mode cool and painted neatly, alt mode is a thing and thats it
jignat
It vaguely reminds me of a snowspeeder from Empire Strikes back.
T-Hybrid
They did that, it was called Siege. People thought it was dumb because they all looked like their Earth modes with more greeble.
Nah. That's still the Star Trek philosophy of "alien races but they're all still roughly humanoid."
It's neat that Cybertronians wouldn't take on forms that translate to what Earthlings consider to be vehicles because they have completely different needs from humans.
Exactly. It takes cues from those types of alien ships. Throw in the fighters from ID4 while we're on the subject.

I think if the knee pieces forming the front weren't bright white a lot of the repetitive questioning would be negated. They stand out against the dark blue, making them more noticeable and making the alt mode look off.
Personally, I think it looks pretty great. I like the alien hovercraft/BSG Cylon fighter shape.
Nova Maximus
That's still a piss-poor excuse. You can have "alien" vehicles and still have them resemble vehicles.
The Cybertron games but especially Animated got this right.
T-Hybrid
It's a Cybertronian vehicle.
It's been a few weeks guys. It's okay to be over the fact his vehicle mode isn't anything Earthly.

now it makes me sad on how crap the ss rotf soundwave was, smh hasbruh give me this level of budget and paint on the satellite boy.
the ravage looks great for what it is, the wolf looking one from the movie.
I always digged the bbb movie soundwave and his sad face
Riddler87
I still say the alternate mode just looks like a giant tick.
I mean at least the Siege figure did look like a spaceship, a very blocky one but I could still see it working in a sci-fi space setting.
VVa
Are you okay-?
Based answer.
Exerus Wing
WHAT IS IT? Tell me like Bayformers\' fan, WHAT IS IT?
superkeaton
I don\'t give a hoot about the altmode, he\'s pretty much gonna live in robot mode on my shelf anyways, along with Ravage.
sykoex
Is there any official statement on what the alt mode is supposed to be?
