Via PrimevsPrime on Youtube we have our first in-hand images of the highly anticipated Transformers Studio Series 86 Deluxe Perceptor.
This is a completely new Deluxe mold which brings us a cartoon-accurate rendition of the Autobot scientist in both robot and microscope mode. To top it all, Perceptor also has a third tank mode as it was with his G1 toy. We also comparison shots with other Studio Series and War For Cybertron figures which complete the Transformers movie 1986 Autobot cast.

Just an update for our Asian(SEAsia and West Pacific) who missed the boat or delayed from Amazon, SS Perceptor for the JP market has now been released. Just waiting for mine to ship out.

The 86 Movie expression.

Yeah, I don't care about cartoon accuracy. The rendering just had an uncanny valley look.
ziltama
For cartoon accuracy, yeah, it's off. In terms of face design in general, it's fine and came out looking better than the renders in-hand.

I mean does it still look off, like in the renders.

Simply cannot bring myself to pay $32 shipped for a deluxe figure. I think I’m priced out.
ziltama
For Perceptor? It's better in person but not G1 happy cartoon face style.
Rodimus Prime
So is the face as bad as the original images?

Thank you so much for this notification. Got mine placed.

Pulse has Perceptor (and other items) back in stock. Nab one while it lasts.

Finally got an "Item is available" from my JP source email. Just waiting for the shipping compute.

Thanks, I’ll be posting more pictures featuring SS86 Perceptor. This whole wave is pretty much non existent in retail, but at least they are all widely available except Perceptor.
Fafnir72
Congrats btw for the Perceptor you scored ! Mine more or less end of April 2022. No big, but at least I got an assured ETA from Japan. I know the issues with shipping etc but poor Perceptor really got the short end of the stick!
DriftsEdge
Amazon now delayed the $24 option to later than May 6th, so those who preordered Perceptor but didn’t got their order shipped yet won’t get the figure in April.

Just checked up on Amazon Perceptor. The actual Amazon item sold by Amazon is nowhere to be found for about a few days after I cancelled my order. Even in my account, the order was not reflected. The other non Amazon vendors selling on Amazon around $40ish.
Then voila! This!

ETA May 13 to June 2, 2022(Hopefully)!

I'm pretty sure I did all of that and they still did the opposite unfortunately. But I will try it one more time see what happens.
Mercurius
Make sure when placing the pre-order that you specify you want them to go to the Pile of Loot when they arrive. It gives you the choice, and it may default to automatically shipping when they arrive in stock. That's the best I can think of.
CyclonusIsSkywarp
I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case . I pre-ordered a few items last summer I think it was studio Jazz, Kup, and Blurr. I had just placed the order like a week prior and it was trying to ship out Jazz without the others. I think I cancelled my order after that and tried TFsource and the same thing happened. I'm giving BBTS one more try with these Legacy figures hoping they will ship at the same time with pile of loot.

It seems like the extra $15 I spend paid off…

It is even faster than Amazon’s estimated date before cancellation.

Unfortunatelly, this one didn’t came with instructions.

1986 Movie Autobots, Yay!

You can only hold an item in the Pile of Loot for a certain amount of time, after which it will mail out automatically. So maybe that's the reason why?
