The official Transformers Alliance YouTube channel have just uploaded a new teaser trailer of the upcoming Transformers: Alliance Mobile Game.
This is new augmented reality Transformers video game developed by Snowpipe. We had previously seen some screencaps of the game before thanks to our 2005 Boards members who were able to participate in the closed beta tester period. The new trailer shows very nice cinematics of the characters and we can spot Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Jazz, Megatron, Starscream and Scrapper. The video also confirms that the game will be officially released in 2022. So far, the game is planned for the Japanese market and for Android users.
See the trailer as well as some screencaps after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

The game is now out in Japan and probably other Asian markets. Android players outside them can try downloading apk from a side source, the current version is 2.5.12
Unfortunately, my device can only get promo screens and infinite loading.

The industry almost entirely stopped making AAA licensed games in general. Plus microtransactions probably make Hasbro more money.

Whatever happened to actual good Transformers games instead of all mobile/gimmick games? Devastation was the last decent one but it wasn't even that memorable.

This makes me miss the War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron games. Imagine both of those remade or a true sequel that could have led into an iteration of the G1 movie as a game. The possibilities are endless. Wasted potential. Thanks Activision.

Never written anything as long as your post so clearly you are making shit up about my lengthy exchanges. I have time to make quick short posts, that’s about it. There probably end up being quite a few, but I do things in between them. When I do have time, I take pictures of figures rather than argue the logistics of gundam designs.
I’ll try and make a post at some point about the similarities.
SPLIT LIP
Dude, you made a broad, incorrect generalization on a large and varied franchise that has been running for forty years and I called you out. I’m not asking for an essay, I just asked for a simple “tell me how these clearly different designs are the same.” If the similarities were really that obvious would a lengthy comparison be necessary?
You’ve certainly have time for lengthy exchanges in the past on other topics. (Which is fine, so have I) Had you just initially said “I’m not a fan of Gundam personally” and didn’t double-down after making a generalization everything would’ve been copacetic. It wasn’t you saying you dislike Gundam, it was you saying “Gundams all look the same” and being unable to back it up, and then turning passive-aggressive when I gave evidence to the contrary ad asked the simple question of “explain why.”
If you want to drop it, fine, but don’t act like you weren’t the one to pick it up.
Funny how that lineage worked out. The Gundam Mk.V gradually metamorphosing away from the visual characteristics of the Gundam only to develop into the Doven Wolf with no Gundam qualities at all… then the Vist Foundation takes out the chest cannon and slaps a Gundam head on it for funsies. (Though I always liked the Jegan-style head variant as well)
Applejacktimus
The one after Byarlant actually, Gundam Mk. V.
BrutiKing
Wow! I love Gundam and tbh I didn’t know any of these were gundams at all! If I were to guess… maybe the Byarlant? But the Doven wolf was turned into the silver bullet…

That's because, while many Gundams will still have their own theme that only they have, the fact is that the myriad of non-Gundam mobile suits can and do vary wildly, and with such variety, the ability to distinguish which one on the battlefield is a Gundam is desirable for the audience, and just plain gives the lineage of Gundams their own look and traits. In a battlefield where suits can look as wildly unique as these –
…what's so wrong with the titular Gundam being one easily distinct for the audience, especially for a heavily militarized world where war-profiteering manufacturers rather realistically make designing new suits over the years an iterative process with a traceable ancestry?
(also, i snuck a gundam in that comp. guess which one)

To be fair, and with no desire to engage in any sort of heated debate, and with all due respect and deference to your opinion … it was a very simple, straightforward question, based on a very broad, ostensibly self-evident assertion you made. You said they shared "extremely similar" elements. Two images were then shown, and you were asked what said similar elements between them were in your opinion. An essay on their differences and similarities isn't required to answer the question, if your assertion is true.

Despite the fact that this is just a mobile game, I'm glad to see Jazz and Ironhide again. It's been some time since we've seen them in media outside of the comics.
octobotimus
I’ve said what I’ve said and said a few reasons why. I just don’t have the time to sit down and write up an essay on the differences and similarities between all of them.
SPLIT LIP
Really dude? You're gonna be like that?
You were pretty willing to engage before but if you're can't substantiate your claims don't make them in the first place. Simple as.
