A new Ebay listing brings us some new stock images of the upcoming Transformers Beast Wars Vintage Scorponok Reissue.
This Scorponok reissue surprised us when we were able to share in-hand images of the figure when we didn’t even have any official announcement, listing or rumor. Now we have our first look at the packaging plus new pics of robot and beast mode featuring a new cartoon-accurate deco.

The black USA one on mine is still fine. It's the purplish plastic used on the second Japanese release (first release is identical to the US one).
Hopefully the new one is fine because it uses a different color plastic.

It's all good. Majority of my collection survived a bad flood, so I'll deal. I might my Frankenstein the piece from the US one and live with it.
The housing that goes over the circle just disintegrated. It can't hold the tail at all.

I'd have to look at mine, but I believe it snapped on the insertion point that is twisted when transforming between modes. I think that the housing may have cracked later too.

Did it snap at the tail joint where the pin is fired through…the joint that is at a detent and is very tight to move?

Yeah, I figured that was the case. It's a shame, as it's pretty hard to find (hard to identify in box too, I wasn't even sure when I bought mine, I saw it in person, that it was the purple version rather than the black one).

has anybody tried to get a price adjustment for getting a damaged package? Mine looks like it was handled by Jim Carrey. Actually thinking of returning it, its double what its worth IMO

Actually, as soon as I took it out and rotated the tail for robot mode….the tail snapped.
I had the lighter JPN version 20+ yrs ago and same thing happened.

I don't know what it's made out of, something akin to GPS, but it's very sensitive. Almost BWNeo Randy level….

Let me guess, did the mutant head snap? some reports were heard that this part is very fragile if not treated well.
I was also warned once, that's why I chose to buy the version USA.

I wish they'd used the colors of the original Kenner figure instead of a new, show-accurate one.
Love that the card art is still wrong.

Yeah, same here. I see that he's showing in stock at the store about 15-20 minutes from me. But I can't justify that kind of money for him. Maybe if it was half of that.

Found this today and the Cyber Bee trigger doesn't even remotely hold. I have this mold three times over and never had a problem where it won't even latch before now.

Luck of the draw. My Scorp was always pretty good, but Polar Claw’s claw was always randomly snapping open. Some had copies the other way around. You just got lucky.
