Third party company X-Transbots, via their Facebook account, have just uploaded the first images of the gray prototype of their MX-20 Zeusaurus (Masterpiece Scale Deathsaurus).
This is a very impressive take on Star Saber’s eternal enemy as seen in the G1 Japan Transformers Victory cartoon. The figure will include a sword, 2 functional Breast Animals (Tigerbreast and Eaglebreast), and 7 interchangeable faces. This figure will stand 37 cm / 14.57 inches tall and it’s planned for the Masterpiece scale. We have several shots of this figure which looks really great in both scale and design next to Masterpiece Star Saber, and showing off a very big dragon mode!
Stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates! You can already find pre-orders for this figure via our sponsors links below. Now you can click on the bar to see all the mirrored images and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

This is a $300 figure. It comes with shield (Deathsaurus tail), sword, lightning, Tigrebrest, Eaglebrest, and a crap ton of face sculpts for robot mode. We have asked repeatedly for the flail and Living Metal Destroying Cannon. I believe we get the two accessories given XTB's history. XTB certainly caters to alternate versions but they are going to go with toon every time and offer toy in many cases. With a figure this expensive I don't know if the toy market is there but it could make sense to release a version with gold chrome head and chest pieces and added tampos like they have done on other versions. Again don't know how much that would go over but I could see a limited edition run of 500 out there. The original designer Zyros confirmed that his design included the accessories expected to come with the toy original version which I think included the gun, shield, and breastmasters. I cannot imagine seeing this until 2023 based on how XTB blows through release windows.

I think a lot of their output is a combination of experimentation and what they want to make personally – and then they see what sells. We know that they had plans for G2 Megatron but apparently G2 Optimus' sales didn't quite rank high enough for them to have confidence in all-new molds for G2. On the other hand. they are seeing a ton of success with Masterforce and UT, so they've dug in there when it comes to new molds, only branching out to stuff like G2 (with Thunderclash or Pyro) when a remold allows it. FH is less about filling gaps in your existing MP collection than most other 3P, so they kinda do their own thing.
Still, I bet their style would suit Victory pretty well and I wouldn't be shocked if they moved into more when they start finishing up Masterforce.

4 years and it's STILL not out.
I guess it's true what they say? FT can't figure out the combiner parts.

I just saw some pictures online. This toy is colored in cartoon colors.
Hopefully they also release this in toy colors. With toy dragon head. With toy weapons.

For XTB, that really makes no sense. First of all, KFC and XTB are SLIGHTLY different companies. My guess is that XTB could/will do a new Star Saber that will necessitate a rerelease of KFC Simba that is is designed to attach. My guess is that since XTB will not be slavishly limited to styling with Takara MP Star Saber they would create a new one with metallic blue, red, yellow and pearl white paint. This would lead to a new paint job for KFC Simba which I think would sell quite well.

I kinda wish KFC resculpts some parts on this toy.
I was never a fan of the organic looking Beast feet and tail.
I would like to see more robotic feet toes sculpted for this toy. That more resembles the 1989 toy.
As far as the tail goes, I think a sword tail like 1987 Weirdwolf had might look better. KFC can even add some bending articulation to the Sword tail.
Sorrry just not a fan of adding 1996 Beast Wars style organic animal parts to robotic animal like Victoryeo.
Maybe release a upgrade kit, called a toy kit. Or release the new toy parts in a re-releae with the whole toy.

There's always the third option: Fart violently, down a double scotch and curse the government. Usually works for me.
Curium
I would not say it is funny, but it is probably a situation to laugh at since the alternative is crying.
Kayin
I don't know if it's funny or sad but I am one of those gents that have been waiting for every figure you said….

Ignore all the people who have been waiting for Abaddon and Dante (and mold mates) since 2015 or Virtus since 2016, or anyone who really loves any of your other 3 dozen announced figures and prioritize the one I love instead.

I love this Third Party XT Deathsaurus toy far better that the two uglier and smaller Planet X and MMC versions.
Please dont make buyers wait another year or Two to get this toy. Please bump this toy up in production right now.
My only complaints are minor and easier to fix. Please can you release a kit that swaps out the cartoon dragon head for a toy dragon head Please make that lion head more beautiful and less gargoyle ugly. I need that toy gun with the ball and chain. Either release a kit or anothet toy that is more toy accurate with all the parts I mentioned attached
Think the XT Deathsaurus has more beautiful sculpt in both modes. That looks more like the 1989 Victory toy and animation. The big Fourteen inch robot mode is a plus.
Nemesis Compactor
They strangely have skipped Victory
Headmasters (Monsterbots)
Masterforce (PMP, Overlord, HM Jrs, Doubleclouder)
Late European G1/G2 (Laser Prime, Thunderclash, con exclusive Pyro)
Machine Wars (via recolor of Thunder)
Car Robots (Scourge, maybe that Red Dragon guy)
Unicron Trilogy (Prime, Megs)
Shattered Glass (con recolor)
guarayakha
Probably too busy with their DoubleDealer, Energon Prime, and the remaining Armada Jetfire/Overload. Also they'll probably continue on with Energon WingSaber before going further.
OriginalFire
I wonder if Fans Hobby wiĺl do a version?
BIOMEC
Just loosen up the screws on the shins.

So while we are here, does anyone have any tips for how I can extend the legs (for robot mode) without dismantling the entire toy? (simba)
I've never been able to move them in the several years i've owned it.
how does the mechanism unlock because 30kg of pressure did not move them even a millimetre, and any more force and something will break.

Got my KFC Simba from Baba last year. Great toy. KFC Eavi Metal Lion King Transform Robot Action Figure Special Edition Although it looks like maybe Baba raised his price by $50 after I ordered. Maybe he forgot he still had these in-stock. Also got MP Star Saber from Robotoybase along with the joint upgrades. Both good figures although I've never actually tried to combine them.

Shouldn't be that hard, I just got a set for Christmas.
TFSource I think still has Star Saber and you can get Simba and most of the kit from Robotoybase.
ZEGR
I owned Simba and it was one of the best KFC releases…Loved that thing and combined was awesome

To be fair, the KFC Simba by itself is a great set, the lion model, the ship mode, the robot mode. I didn't even bother to combine it with MP24.
In my opinion, it's a better add-on TF than FH God Aromor.
