Third party company X-Transbots, via their Facebook account, have just uploaded the first images of the gray prototype of their MX-20 Zeusaurus (Masterpiece Scale Deathsaurus).
This is a very impressive take on Star Saber’s eternal enemy as seen in the G1 Japan Transformers Victory cartoon. The figure will include a sword, 2 functional Breast Animals (Tigerbreast and Eaglebreast), and 7 interchangeable faces. This figure will stand 37 cm / 14.57 inches tall and it’s planned for the Masterpiece scale. We have several shots of this figure which looks really great in both scale and design next to Masterpiece Star Saber, and showing off a very big dragon mode!
Stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates! You can already find pre-orders for this figure via our sponsors links below. Now you can click on the bar to see all the mirrored images and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

just wanted to say Frank sent the full refund like he said he would.
jamarmiller
thanks
havent got the refund yet but Im feeling good with Franks e-mailed response to me so Im sure he will pull through with all that has been said about him and his store here.
I obviously dont buy much 3rd party stuff but I was a little shocked that some people were saying thats the norm ( being charged a fee to get a refund ) . I have only been in a few situations in life like this ( but in other fields that was not toys ) where I pre-ordered and paid in full for something and when it didnt come out for a long time and I waited well beyond what I was told for it to arrive I got the full refund no fees involved. But in any case I learned never pay full deposit on something like this,,,,,,,,,,,so lesson learned.

Double Deposit Discount = DDD. The usual pre-order where ShowZ matches your $1 or $2 PO with a $1 or $2 discount.
The other PO is the $10 or $20 non-refundable pre-order.
Of course, ShowZ is run by humans so sometimes there are mix-ups where they forget to say that they won't match a $30 deposit. Accidents happen and all retailers reserve the right to correct advertised prices. I see the occasional collector rage when this happens, but those collectors are "crazy". Some common sense is required and some understanding that ShowZ is trying to run a business in a foreign language. To err is human, to not catch your error in a foreign language is pretty common.
Glad to hear everything worked out amicably this time.
AliceBreckwith
lmao I got lost in the conversation.
jamarmiller
what is a DDD pre-order ?
ssjgoku22
That's exactly it. I've dealt with so many retailers in the past, but Show Z's customer service is second to none.
SWAGE66
We got all mixed up here, I was originally replying to someone else's dilemma, not one of my own lol
SquishyOH
Nice to hear that ShowZ is going above and beyond for a refund from a customer who has already said they are unlikely to ever order again due to loss of interest in 3P.
ShowZ advertises:
For the items which we already noted the final price:
If it's a DDD pre-order, good to cancel and get points anytime before we ask for balance.
So points are all I'd expect especially after such an extended period. But being polite, yet persistent, will get you more. ShowZ seems to bend over backwards to accommodate much worse requests from customers. I've seen plenty of collectors go off on TFSource and others, but ShowZ wants to protect their reputation much harder than most.
AliceBreckwith
Quoted you cuz it was relevant to your dilemma lol. But if they're still working out something with you that's agreeable for both parties, that's good.
SWAGE66
Not sure why you quoted me, but invoices are only used for Goods payments – which are subject to both purchase fees, and exchange fees.
But, looks like ShowZ is again going well above and beyond the norm according to the latest update.
AliceBreckwith
Honestly, there should be no fees if you just send them a paypal invoice for what they owe you.
jamarmiller
I wouldnt order it from anyone else, if I want 3rd party stuff I would stick with Showz for sure. Just tired of waiting , lost interest , kids are done playing with transformers ( since this was for them ) I got Hasbro Pulse one ect ect ect.
While I disagree I should have to pay for any refund, ( perhaps they shouldnt offer full payment option on things they dont know when its coming out ??? ) Frank did just reply to me via e-mail ( thanks to above poster for that e-mail address ). He said hes going to refund the money , then when I received it, just let him know the fee and he will send a second payment.
SOOOOOOOOOO. as long as that happens it looks like he is going to make things right.
thanks for the help everyone
ssjgoku22
Ah, I didn't realize your order was from that long ago. That's an issue. Because it's way past the date regarding Paypal, SZ will have to send you a payment and that usually requires a fee. You're responsible for the fee as you're the one canceling the order. The majority of online retailers usually charge you a cancelation fee for canceling orders. SZ usually won't charge you for canceling if it's done in a reasonable amount of time.
What happened specifically again regarding this situation? Did you not want the order or are you getting the item somewhere else?

Didn't mean to imply you weren't being cool. But, I also know how frustrating getting these things sorted out can be and just wanted to say I'm sure they're not trying to screw you. I'm sure they'll take care of you, my man. I'd be shocked if they didn't unless, perhaps, there's circumstances that make it impossible on their end.
SWAGE66
@jamarmiller – just chiming in with some perspective, cuz I know this is frustrating, but is also an odd situation:
–Due to the extreme time lapse, the typical way of refunding isn't available to them, even if it was a direct CC payment, debit, or Paypal payment. The transaction windows for alterations closes long before then for ANY payment processor.
–This would be odd to do, but because of the time lapse mentioned above, they can't just eat fees on a transaction – especially when they have no access to your bank's exchange rates and fees.
"
— The way Paypal works for them, is entirely different than the way it works for a typical US account holder. And it probably does have some stipulations about sending payments OUT, as opposed to their normal business of receiving – on top of the fact that large business accounts don't have a Friends and Family option, let alone for international transactions. Even if they did, Paypal changes which countries are eligible for F/F transactions between countries and China has been restricted before, if not now as well. That's why a few Chinese stores have Cali addresses that show up in the transaction and contact history of your Paypal payments.
So, this really is an oddball situation for both of you – and I'm not one to really defend a retailer when they screw up, but this is definitely a situation where it sucks for both sides (and doesn't really include an actual fault of the store) – and I can't even think of a US retailer that would honor a 2-year old purchase refund with cash, just as a note.
This is one of those things about the 3P world of "estimates" (and even official stuff, for sure) and lack of good communication between factories, companies, and retailers leaves you in a vulnerable state and stuck with "nature of the business" crapshoots – like mentioned above, best bet is just keep cool with them and they'll likely hook you up with extra points – and considering even offering store credit at this point is a serious bit of courtesy considering the time and complications, I would try and look at that as a serious win.
jamarmiller
so far i have been cool, so Im going to keep positive about this. Just dont like the run around on this that they are giving me. When I asked 10 days ago I want a refund , I kinda expected a full refund by now. I did post in the other thread though today and I e-mailed the boss too with the help of other people in this thread but thanks for the link
mantisfists
I'm always a proponent of keeping things private, but there's also a thread specifically for Show.z's store here . You could always state your case to @AbbytheCat there and maybe you get different results. Again, I've never known Show.z to not give cash refunds back from deposits or fully paid items so if you're having problems, I'm guessing it's not because they just don't want to do it. As long as you're cool with them, I can almost guarantee they'll take care of you.
Vrillon77
Good luck, hopefully you are able to get things sorted out. I don't have experience with XTB but they are apparently notorious for taking forever to release.
But there is also a good chance it does get released this year. Bombusbee has the old release date of 2022.09, but I see it on ShowZ and BigBadToyStore as updated to First Quarter 2024. TFSafari Says Jan 2024. So I'm hoping for a release in a few months.
jamarmiller
Thank you
I did that EXACTLY though in my very first e-mail to them very politely and apologizing for cancelling but they…………… replied first with "Credits at the store "
then I said no , I want the full refund to my original payment
they said since its been over 2 years and 4 months they cant do that
then asked me about sending them all my bank account info so they can send it that way and then they said you have to cover all fees,
then I said no just send it to my paypal since I dont feel comfortable with sending all my bank info and then I said again , please send it via paypal since thats how I originally paid/used
they then replied that If I want to do that they will charge me a fee and they dont know how much the fee is cause they cant see how much the fee would be.
I even suggest family/friends Gift to avoid fees and then they said they think that is only for us bank account to us bank account.
