Coming to us from the official New York Toy Fair website, we now have word that Hasbro will be returning to the event in-person in 2022. This comes after 2021’s Toy Fair was cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic. In addition, it is reported that Hasbro will host its own showroom thanks to the space the newly-expanded Javits Center has provided.
As stated on the website:
The Toy Association has announced that the newly expanded Javits Center has paved the way for enhanced experiences and more space for the global toy community to gather at Toy Fair New York 2022. Thanks to the additional square footage, for the first time ever, Hasbro will host its showroom on-site at the 2022 show.
“In the past, due to lack of space, Toy Fair was simply unable to accommodate Hasbro and its many brands and franchisees on-site at the Javits Center,” said Kimberly Carcone, senior vice president of global market events at The Toy Association. “We are thrilled to be able to host Hasbro at the 2022 show, and believe it to be symbolic of the important return to live events and the show’s evolution to serve the business needs of all exhibitors and guests!”
“We’re excited to join industry colleagues at the Javits Center as we return to Toy Fair New York and showcase the power and potential of Hasbro’s Brand Blueprint,” said Eric Nyman, chief consumer officer and chief operating officer of Hasbro Consumer Products. “As we continue our transformation into a leading play and entertainment company, we look forward to sharing an update on our pipeline, storytelling and content built around our powerful brands, to seeing partners and old friends, and to making new connections on the show floor as we kick off 2022.”
The event will take place on February 19-22. Traditionally, New York Toy Fair has proven itself to be one of the best events for Transformers toy reveals and other assorted news. With that in mind, let us know what you’re hoping to see on the boards!

Here's hoping they get back to it instead of those bs closed door round table reveals with select fans that they've done for the last 2 rounds of reveals.

The live streams are a handy way to reach specific fandoms directly. Even if conventions come back in full, they'll still utilize those for more collector oriented stuff (Selects, HasLab, etc).
I would expect Toy Fair, if it goes off as planned, would be where they show off Legacy in person. Maybe some new stuff? But more than likely it'll be a way to really launch the line to a broader audience who isn't just the collector market.

I very much foresee Hasbro possibly not going this year since they don't need NYTF and Hasbro Pulsecon did so well twice in a year.
franpincho
Yeah, that will not happen. Expect a cancellation and a live stream soon.
Sad, but shit isn't really looking like it's getting better.

I was literally just wondering if this was still happening or not. Wonder what Hasbro is going to show and if they'll continue doing any livestreams before and after.

Things are getting worst again and they are getting worst everyday. I got a feeling Toy Fair will be cancelled in the next month. I think it would be better to see another Fan Fest in Spring.

The primary function of Toy Fair is less fan interaction and more to showcase product to prospective retailers. I very much doubt the retail representatives and purchasers want to be jockeying with YouTube vloggers for their attention. As such, they've been very selective on who gets passes to the event and the companies are genrally fine with that, as they can do PR presentations on their own at other functions or online.

It isn't after looking it up but I would assume members of site's will be invited to take photos of Hasbro's stuff (TF's, Marvel Legends, Gijoe, SW's sites)
That's basically what's gonna happen the ROTB toyline will be basically toy's based on concept art more so than the CGI models also will probably from listings be like Cyberverse with gimmick toys along with Deluxe figures while SS ROTB figures will happen in 2023 so they're more accurate to the movie and will help keep SS going into the future and avoid like you said another BBM Beetle Bee, car Shatter, helicopter Dropkick. Still hoping for a new VW Bee.
So yeah I'm hoping the ROTB figures have the basic articulation and complexity to satisfy until 2023.

Why do a shared virtual toy fair where you have to fit within someone else's schedule when you can do your own virtual showcase and give yourself as much time as you want/need?
If NYTF is going in-person again, then you've got the benefits of being in that shared space. But I bet they'll still do at least one major PulseCon anyway.

I really want to know how to get into the Hasbro showroom. I used to work with a company that had general access to the toy fair, but I could not get into the Hasbro stuff with that company’s credentials. I do a radio show, and I’ve been told by the people of charge at the station that they think they could get me into the Hasbro stuff, but no one really seems to know what that process looks like. I would love to go with hopes of interviewing the Transformers team and play the interview back on my show. Granted, I really want to see the new figures in person, but I would like to start making more of a name for myself by meeting these company representatives like YouTube reviewers do.

Let's hope they're well prepared and put on a good show, it's been sorely missed.

I actually liked the different-colored dinos, even though I appreciated those "Premium Edition" decoes as well. I love the movieverse designs, but there's just too much gray in them, on the shelves the AoE dinos popped more.
That said, I would expect, given the longer time it takes to design a toy compared to how long it takes to tweak a CGI design, Energon Igniter-level complexity for the main "temporary" RotB movie line itself with concept art used for the basis of those designs. I would hope Hasbro had learned its lesson from the inaccurate BB Movie VW Bee, helicopter Dropkick, and car Shatter in Studio Series, and save the complex, more collector-oriented toys of these RotB characters until at least mid-2023, after their on-screen appearance has been known and finalized so when we get the more expensive articulated stuff, it's accurate. It might be hard to be that patient, but given the realities of toy design I think we would need to wait at least that long.
RodimusZero
Yeah… I should've mentioned AoE, too. Not bad figures, but I sure hope they learned their lesson after all those fruit colored Dinobots
At least WFC-level complexity would be nice, I hope they don't just do the Energon Igniter route again.
Also, as an aside, I hope the Beasts will actually have a role in this movie. I'm getting annoyed by a lot of these studios trying to "trick the fans" lately, baiting with one thing, then the movie ends up being completely different. I actually liked the film OK I guess, but for "Snake Eyes", having his classic suit show up for about 5 seconds despite that visual being all over marketing and the toys etc was pretty sleazy if you ask me. Without spoiling, I felt betrayed by "ETERNALS" as well… So for all we know, it'll just be Autobots vs Terrorcons for 90+ minutes, and then after Prime finally defeats Scourge etc, the Peruvian jungle bushes rustle behind them and in Ron Perlman's voice a wire-and-gear-covered gorilla whispers, "Optimus Prime, you can call me… Optimus Primal"
but of course, we'll get a full line of Beasts in this BayKnightVerse style…
