Via PrimeVsPrime, we now have our first look at the Studio Series Bumblebee Deluxe Wheeljack figure!
Looking very accurate to his design as seen in the fan-favorite opening sequence of Bumblebee, Wheeljack is shown off here in both his robot and Cybertronian car modes and also comes with a gun accessory. In addition, he is compared with some other Bumblebee movie figures including Optimus, Starscream, Cliffjumper, and Bumblebee himself to get a sense of how they look as a group. He’s also shown with his Earthrise counterpart.
You can check out a gallery of images and also the video review after the break. Let us know what you think of Wheeljack on the boards!

I love that unused bot mode more than the one in the movie. I understand tho, since it didn’t use G1 aesthetics.

I finally got this figure in the UK this week from Hasbro Pulse UK and did a review here.
It's not available to buy from Amazon UK until March.
Really awesome figure in particular the head sculpt.
The plastic is a bit softer than previous TF figures I've had and the paint can be easily scrapped off. I did a transformation for my review video, which did result in some wear and tear.
I also found the hip joints loose and floppy – same as the Core class Shockwave I bought – but overall a fun figure.
I hope they release a core class version of it in the future.

Wow – I've never seen the concept art for OP – looks awesome. The Vehicle mode looks similar to the Fall of Cybertron video game designs.

If Eon Productions made a movie where James Bond was a giant robot obsessed with revenge, I’d watch it without a second thought.

It's wheeljack, ARMADA Wheeljack

I think Armada Wheeljack colors (who looked more like Sideswipe than WJ).

That is what I was thinking as well usually with civilians or just smaller forms of military, revolutionaries/rebels, or even terrorists maybe have similar or the same kind of weapons. Because either time or not enough money to get custom weapons or it's just cheaper to get the same weapons
I wonder thinking about it if they do this design? Since SS is gonna start doing non-movie stuff like Breakaway (and if he does well a Leader DOTM Warpath and a DOTM Stratosphere maybe).

Or I wonder would they consider making his Cybertron mode from the movie with this style of alt mode that's similar (with mods since his Cybertronian mode has Earth truck window chest). or go with like I said his more accurate truck alt mode.

Love the WFC-ness of it.

The haste of creating the scene is very similar to the haste that ragtag group of civilians would have arming themselves…they wouldn't have time to fashion custom weapons.

With the aim of Studio Series being screen accuracy, they are basically working on a scene that was made last minute, with CGI models that have no alt-mode + are technically reshells of the main character models, so if they all have the same weapon because they couldn't do more models then so be it, the toys would also reflect that.
This would be more of a problem if it happened with ROTB, where they're actually planning and designing each bot individually – I'd expect their CGI models and toys to have their own individual weapons.

I like to suspend disbelief as far as possible. If the Autobots we're originally civilian based, then weapons had to be mass produced at some point and distributed among them. Decepticons, if they were always the military, would have internal weapons due to their military alt modes. I think BBM is following this doctrine well.
