Once again the official Hasbro China Transformers Weibo account treated us with a very nice and fun Transformers War For Cybertron & Studio Series 86 Official Stop Motion for your viewing pleasure.
The video features several War For Cybertron and Studio Series 86 figures sharing a traditional “Hot Pot” lunch that turns into a fun hip hop battle. We can see Kup, Red Alert, Jazz, Tracks and Core Class Soundwave. Another fun video to watch for sure!
You can watch the original video here, or a YouTube mirror after the break as well as some screencaps. Let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Now mod this for Friday Night Funkin'

Was hoping Kup would bust a move and show these young whippersnappers how it's done.
Bahamut Prime
Well that was fun! Especially the hotpot since I\'m Australian-born Chinese! Now I wonder what would the actual Cybertronian equivalent would look like!

Poor Soundwave.
Such Heroic Nonsense
Moral of the story: Autobots care less about the enemy instigating an act of espionage than they do busting some moves …

Reddy are you okay, are you okay, are you okay Reddy?
You've been struck by, a smooooooth Redalert!

Came for Transformers potluck, stayed for "Hohahohahohahaha!"
(Though, I'm not entirely sure Hasbro knows what a "hip hop battle" brings to mind, because you can't title it that and then not have bots drop some bars. Breakdancing competition has traditionally been part of hip hop too though, so I'll permit it. But next time I expect to hear Soundwave kick it.)

It bothers me that Jazz's back is mistransformed, it has to be on the creator's part, I think Hasbro just saw this and decided to make it official.
Gee Won 1984
Cute.
Chaos Prime
Haha! That was cute.

Generally, it really should mean all those things… and cheers for saying it, as many toon-heads seem to think that the Sunbow cartoon has sole ownership of the "G1" label.
But for the purposes of offsetting all the complaining about Jazz being mistransformed, just sayin'… on a spectrum of G1-ness, winged Jazz is as oldschool as it gets.
And as far as how it looks on the SS86 toy, I gotta say… I don't hate it. It gives a bit of the classic winged look, while still allowing Jazz to maintain a more compact silhouette which suits his character.
Indeed! I had the same thought!
Though it still reflects a bit poorly on Has/Tak when a close-up of a brand-new toy looks like that…

Silly, wholesome fun. Lovely stuff.

The anger in these posts is hysterical. IT's a dopey video. It made some of you that "mad"? Really?

Sunbow Prime
"more G1" could mean toys, cartoons, or comics
SMOG
I didn't say it wasn't Studio Series Jazz.
I just noted that technically, winged Jazz is even MORE G1 because it is the most original form of Jazz. It's not even a statement of preference… merely a wry observation of fact.

Sunbow Prime
Yeah, but this is studio series Jazz.
SMOG
I assume you do know the toys came first, and that Jazz's wings are even specifically described in his original G1 long bio?
