Some new stock images of the previously reported ReAction Santa Optimus Prime give us our first look at the upcoming Super 7 ReAction Transformers Wave 5.
An image of Santa Optimus Prime back of the packaging shows the line up of this new wave which brings us four classic G1 characters:
- Grimlock (Dino mode)
- Arcee
- Reflector
- Prowl
Each ReAction figure stands 3 3/4′ tall, features five points of articulation, and comes packaged on a colorful retro style backing card. We still have no concrete information on the release date of these figures, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates.

I’m surprised that Target is allowed to stock “Spring Break” Optimus.
PoweredConvoy
Definitely milking the Optimus and Megatron figures as Target exclusives.

Thanks for reporting. We now have "fallen Leader Optimus prime" available in grayscale and color.

looks like there's another target exclusive: Reformatted Megatron from the movie
from the California sightings thread by smf2045
and from preternia twitter, the Optimus wave-mate

Final Knight
Wow they look SO UGLY!
PoweredConvoy
They were not in the comics and none of them were referred to by name in the cartoon other than Reflector. Calling them Reflector is appropriate for cartoon versions.

Did the Sunbow cartoon ever mention the individual names? I don't recall that it did, but I could be wrong. Did the Marvel comics have the individual names? Were they even in Marvel Comics? I didn't read the Marvel run so I don't know.

I'll probably get the arcee from this one. Price has never been good but they are fun retro things.
Cykill 1
What annoys me with the character of reflector is it is the name of 3 individual bots combined together. Yet they only show one bot. Each bot has a different name and is slightly different from one another. It\'s like showing a construction and calling it devastator.
PopCulturePooka
Wow these things are complete trash.
Like… no redeeming features at all.
Just future landfill.
Pteraxadon
Almost twenty dollars for something three inches tall….:|

I just CANNOT justify the price point on these. Can\'t do it. There\'s something down inside me that won\'t allow me to pay that much. Then again, I was a kid with a lawnmowing service in the 90s and bought Turtles at $5 a pop and G2 tfs for less than $10!

Except that ignores licensing fees, and it is still a smaller production run, from a smaller company. There's no way the same number of Legacy Skids and ReAction Prowls are being made, so your point isn't accurate at all.

This is why Hasbro has increased prices of a deluxe Transformer to $25. When executives see people paying $17-20 for what could easily be a $5 toy, and it gets placement at mass retail. It makes it seem like a mistake to price something far more complicated at $20 as well.
You could have made the case for Super 7 figures being expensive if it were a short production run. However putting figures in Target, Walmart, and other mass retailers, immediately puts production units in the quantities of scale that would make an $8 retail well within reason.
FAKER II
I'm definitely getting Prowl and Arcee. Not sure about the others.
AcademyofDrX
I think this is very unlikely, even the Joe set is barely a vehicle, it's a dog sled.
If we do get a vehicle I would like an updated Turbo Racer, though the vintage one should hold me over just fine. I need to dig it out and see how Core class figures look in it.

they are smaller. But they have their product in every target, hot topic, gamestop, and a plethora of other shops i cant think of right this second. Transformers arent their only figures

I haven't seen any at Walmart. I found Blitzwing at a GameStop and Jazz at a Books-A-Million.

GI Joe are getting a reaction vehicle set, gives me some hope we might see a TF one.
