Via PrimevsPrime on Youtube we have our first in-hand images of the new Transformers Kingdom Deluxe Slammer.
Slammer is a completely new Deluxe mold which is similar to the War For Cybertron Weaponizers/Modulators, so he can split in part that can become weapons for other figures. It transforms into a tank inspired by the G1 Metroplex non-transformable companion Slammer. We also have comparison shots next to other War For Cybertron figures like the Centurion Drone, Sixgun and Warpath.

This feels extremely satisfying.

Funny story, I actually came up with "Metroslam" before realizing "Metrotank" was his name.

I do like Slammer; he does look good to me in both modes and I don’t mind him being a partsformer, but I don’t like him being so loose. The other Weaponizers and Modulators weren’t like this. I don’t have any of the three Fossilizer molds.
I would be interested in a Metrotank repaint, but they would have to make the peg holes tighter I think.

Finally got this guy from BBTS. I really like him! But, I gotta agree that the loose turret parts are a disappointment. If the designers had put one more tab/slot combination in the back part of the turret it would hold together so much better. Hopefully they apply this simple remold if the toy is ever re-issued or used for a different character.

Got mine yesterday. I love the tank mode, I like the robot, not crazy about the weapon modes. And upon further inspection would probably make a decent Guzzle (please Hasbro).

Maybe a new gray Metroplex is coming?

Okay, but so was G1 Metroplex, so it all matched. It blended together.
As a designer, why wouldn't you want it all to work as a set? If Titan Metroplex is white (more like an off-white) why not try to make it all work in unison?

G1 Slammer was grey.
Wh33l JcK
I think they could have color matched the whites better, but also Titan Metroplex doesn’t really have all that gray. If this is meant to finish off the set, why not make it so it blends in better for city-tower mode by making it white?

Titan Metroplex was released nearly eight years ago.
Factories have changed, plastic batches and sources may have changed, all manner of things may have changed in that interim. Long enough time to have seen 2.5 iterations of the standard "Masterpiece" aesthetic within that timeframe.
Actual straight-up "reissues" will often feature slight colour variances from their initial incarnations, let alone mass-market "fodder" with no strict expectations for colour-matching.

What I don’t get is the gray and the white don’t match the colors on Titan Metroplex. Why didn’t they match it up?
Maybe they match the new Cybertron Metroplex?

Seriously 5hinking bout getting a 2nd one

Tony Stark… approves?
GRANDUS97
If it's the gray piece, that is a documented issue.

Anyone with this guy having issues with the turret?
It just falls right off on mine

Anyone know where I can buy Slammer for its regular price? Seems like he is out of stock or on preorder for most sites.
Sage Immersion
So cool, just wish it was smaller, like the original. Like that it transforms now.

Got my Slammer earlier this week. The chainsaw was what sold it for me.

I did the same thing over the weekend, I give you slam gun!
