What seems to be the issue?

I dont remember if someone else mentioned it on this thread but i know that mine the neck plate that rotates, requires excessive force to click in place for robot mode, untabs too easily, AND so far i just pop the head of the balljoint and rotate it the other way befor connecting the head again, for some reason it works, i tried it (unscrewing the chest) but the plate doesn't work if i flip it(left side on the and vice-versa)

has anyone found a fix for the robot mode neck plate problem with tyrannocon?

So, thanks to Pulse's sale, I was able to obtain this set for a lot less money. I sold off Tyrannocon Rex to a fellow board member and I feel that what I paid ($37ish) for JP93 was fair considering it's a licensed vehicle, character, and livery. (I want to say livery is the proper word for it.)

As I was packing Rex for shipping, I was remarkably impressed with how realistic it looked in hand, so kudos to Has/Tak for pulling that off. Still not my cup of tea as figures go, though.

I do think the diorama packaging is quite impressive. It's a shame I couldn't keep it due to size constraints. Plus. Kingdom Megatron would've looked incredibly weird in it. lol

As for JP93… I do indeed get the concerns and criticisms of this mold. The ball-jointed elbows are just …why? Ugh. The hollow torso and the ability to see right through him are troublesome issues on a visual level. That said, this is probably my favorite of the crossover figures.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Siege/Kingdom Lambo mold, so I was glad they used that for Gigawatt and he's a great figure, so is Ectotron (if a bit weak), but there's something nice about the smooth simplicity of JP93. He doesn't ask much of you, he's not pretending to be something he's not (ironic considering they're robots in disguise. lol) he's just a simple, straightforward figure that transforms into a cool car from my youth. We sometimes get so lost in the visuals, the gimmicks, the complexities that we overlook figures like JP93 who just want to be a poseable Transformer.

I don't particularly care for the translucent roof becoming feet and that first transformation at the hinge is terrifying, but I simply don't tab the feet in. (That was horrendously scary.)

I'm not particularly arsed (I love British slang) about the lack of a waist swivel, I grew up with that, so I'm used to it.

I do think JRC's filler kit is absolutely essential, however.

Now that I've had them in hand, diorama and all, I have to say that the original asking price was way too high. Don't get me wrong, I know there was licensing to cover, but they could've eaten some of the cost on Rex, honestly. If I had bought this set all on my own and kept both figures, I'd have had serious buyers remorse.

As-is, I think I paid a fair price.

Mine had the same issue which is why my Tyrannocon is staying in robot mode. Now I'm thinking about colouring the eye in completely as some sort of battle damage and repurpose Tyrannocon as a male character (never been find of Hasbro's lazy 'repaint of a male character + new head = female' approach ).

Incidentally, I hope we get a Jurassic World Blue Transformers.

But I'm going to be seriously annoyed if it turns out to be just BW Dinobot with a new head.

True about straight up repaint with just a new head. Yes it will be disappointing, but we are talking about Hasbro and the minimum effort for maximum returns here. The best case scenario for a Jurassic World Blue, would be a whole new sculpt and different/new transformation than from BW Dinobot, but again we are talking about Hasbro here.

I just don't have enough faith in them anymore.

Toyhax just released their sticker set for this set, and I'm both thrilled and disappointed in it.

I'm still buying the set, but I was hoping for eye fix stickers, where there are none, so now I have to try to fix my T-Rex eyes in an unprofessional manor, and I don't know how many tries it'll take before I will be happy with it, or I may give up in frustration, and say screw it, she has no pupils now.

I know I'm bumping the thread after a few months, but Hasbro's eBay shop has this set for $90. I dunno how deep a discount people are waiting for but this is the lowest I've seen it in a while.

That's pretty low, the lowest this set is going for on Amazon is $94.99, and considering this set was released several months ago, the chances of this set selling brand new for less then $80 US is unlikely.

If mine only had the rolling eyes, I would of been fine just leaving it like that, but mine has one lazy, hurpa durp, drugs are bad eye, and I now need to fix it. 

Little off topic but this guy and Tigertron are the reason I wish they would have continued with how they did Cheetor's eyes. Cause personally I think it kind of looked better and also I knew this was gonna happen (especially with how Marvel Legends eyes were pre-2018 or so).
