Third party company Newage Toys have shared images of the color prototype of their H27W Conquest & H28 Octavian (Legends Scale G1 Ultra Magnus) via their Weibo account.
Newage brings us an Ultra Magnus design based on the original G1 toy idea of a separate white Optimus Prime figure which uses parts of the vehicle mode as an armor. The design of the 2 components is close to the G1 animation style and we are sure it’s a great alternative for Legends scale collectors.

Optimum Supreme
I've only seen it for the original release (which I assume wouldn't match colors completely right for the EX), and the Delta/SG version. I was hoping for one for the Shining piss version, but it never happened, so I'm not holding my breath for the toy version, either.

Did they make the add on kit for the ex version yet? I almost bought it for the regular release.
Mechman42
Has anyone had a stress mark appear on the tab inside the right shoulder stack?
Snaku
I almost got him when he came out because I prefer the marvel version of Galvatron but he's the wrong color. Should be an icy metallic blue and a few of his red parts should be that same blue or purple. I really wish they'd do a comic version. I can't believe nobody ever has. Dalianjj talked about it a little for Sovereign (masterpiece Galvatron) but then they never did
Optimum Supreme
If you're using him as Marvel Gavly (II), it's also the wrong color. Should be green like the Gen Selects toy/comic deco came with. Minor detail, also applies to the comic OP's matrix.
Snaku
That's probably a good thing, actually. The matrix being bigger, I mean. When you take any matrix that comes in an Optimus' chest and try to put it in his hands, it's immediately apparent that it's way too small. When I want an MP-10 sized figure to hold a matrix, I use MP-01's because it's bigger and when I want an MP-01 sized figure to hold it, I use the one that came with that 18" Mega Action Series nontransformable Optimus (that's his matrix below)
It just doesn't work out for a matrix that's big enough to hold to also fit inside the figure's chest. I haven't tried it but I wonder if they matrix in MS-02's chest (it's smaller than the MP-10 matrix) would look good in any legends Optimus' or Magnus' hands.
Phase Sixer
The Matrix is like The One Ring. It can grow or shrink in size depending on the wearer and its purpose in that moment. And also haven’t you heard of mass-shifting?

LoL… i had no intentions of picking up toy Galv, as well i kept telling myself i won't get toy UM. but yet here i am now!
finally just gave in and got toy UM. in the end i couldn't resist the new face sculpt and colours. and while getting that, i rolled back and got toy Galv while i was at it, as i wanted the clear cannon for the EX.
BTW it's laughable how frick'n stupidly large they made the matrix that comes with toy Galv compared to the actual matrix that fits in Prime.

Damnit! Why do you do this to me? Now I've got an order in for yet another toy I don't need.
But seriously, thanks for the tip. I did kinda regret passing on Galvatron.

I guess an exception can be made for both City Commanders, right?

Damn you and your temptations. LOL!

Well the good news is if you decide you want him, baba still has him in stock

Damn. Makes me kinda regret passing on the toy Galvatron. I set a rule for myself, though, that I'm sticking with S1 for toy versions just because I don't want a whole other giant collection in addition to all my other collections. Um… hm. I kinda forgot that rule when I got Magnus. Damnit.

I want to see more pics of your custom fortress Maximus.

That's how mine was. Granted I was finally able to get it to stay by holding it in the right position for a bit
Optimum Supreme
Not quite to that degree, but yes, that part is a little finicky and refuss to lay flat once no longer being held in place. But it's always been like that on my Piss Mag and it doesn't slowly move, it's more or less instant once no more pressure is on it.

Heh, I wasn't gonna buy two of the ex version just to display with and without armor, so since the EX version is more detailed, used the unarmored Magnus for the EX-armor and display the unarmed EX corebot unarmored:

Anyone else's Shining Magnus or any Magnus have this back panel that refuses to fold flat? Mine folded up fine at first but now when I try it, it just slowly bounces back into this position
