Once again, a mysterious image has surfaced over internet revealing what seems to be a special “Reformatting” redeco of the Kingdom Galvatron mold.
Take this with a grain of salt until we get a reliable source. The figure looks like a clear purple Kingdom Galvatron mold with white lines inspired by Megatron’s reformatting into Galvatron as seen in the classic G1 Transformers movie. The image shows the the same guns, Matrix with chain and cannon original accessories, but we can also spot several mini-figures and Quintesson, Decepticon and Autobot space ships from the movie.
Could this be related to the mysterious Galvatron & Unicron pack listing we reported while back in April? Your gues is as good as ours. Click on the bar to see the mirrored image on this news post and then sound off your impressions on this possible release on the 2005 Board!

Apologies for bumping this thread but I got around to opening up the set and I love it.
Great presentation and I love the whole set. The mini figs can go with the ark. Great Great set and highly recommend.

It was on pulse, but that extra stock is long gone now

Where is it re-stocked?

I'm normally a strong defender of Hasbro, but this release is such a huge FU to Haslab backers, I'm never going to let them off the hook for it.

Bought a second one. Hope this one actually has Dirge in it. I should at least be able to sell off the loose galvatron plus the other accessories to offset a good chunk of the cost, so I don't mind having to buy another too much.

Transformers Generations War for Cybertron Leader Behold, Galvatron! U – Hasbro Pulse
Back in stock this morning

Kinda neat. The "make amends" item that Hasbro sent out as reparation for the missing Cyclonus mini fig was a SS Core Ravage.

If the Legacy one is the same purple as the Kingdom version then it's not really cartoon accurate.
I know it's doubtful that the colors change but with the stock images not having battle damage, I hope they changed the plastic color to be what we see with the stock images, rather than the plastic color of the Kingdom version.
Capirus
He is, I was just saying it was the same as the previous release without battle damage. Just wanted to specify cartoon colors because the original poster wanted that.
Missing Sunset
I thought Legacy Galvatron was the same shade of purple?
Capirus
I think the Legacy one is cartoon colors without the battle damage. At least that's how the stock images present it.
Grand Slam
I got around to opening mine, primarily driven by the fear of missing slugs. I went on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I first thought the slugs were left out entirely before finding them in the last, tiny fold of the tissue paper. Crisis averted, I was further relieved that everyone was present. Unfortunately, then the feeling set in of "I paid $60 for this?"
I respect Hasbro's evil genius of making this nearly required to have a "complete" Unicron, but I certainly don't appreciate it. I now have two Galvatrons, neither of which is the one I want: anime colors without battle damage.
Radioguy
Not sure if it helps, but I'm seeing him in Target right now.

That's a really interesting idea. If they had implemented that it would have been amazing!
There's a lot to like about this release: the higher quality translucent plastic, the design choice for the accent paint, the many extra accessories. But it feels like they left all the decisions to just one or two people and then called it good. If a larger group had reviewed the choices early on I have to believe they would have realized: we need the extra plastic arms for the ships, the slugs should be the same plastic quality as the others already released and all the other obvious improvements that have already been listed here.
Hasbro took an idea that could have been great and buzz-worthy and inexplicably botched it.

Sludge, Blurr, Wreckgar, Devastator. The entire G1 cast… they could go ahead and just make them all in one set.
Blot
Got mine today, all accounted for (I had low expectations…). My kids liked looking at the micro figures under their magnifying glasses. Nice set to go with Unicron.
Fallout
maybe they'll send you a kingdom cyclonus for the galvatron slug to ride in
