I don't blame them. If something is selling out, increase the price until it doesn't.
I wasn't blaming anyone for anything. Most retailers price FT figures at a price point that prohibits long-standing inventory. TFSource didn't. That's a point that elicited legitimate curiosity on my part. Like I said – I always wondered what the ceiling might be on some FT releases. TFSource provided me with information.
There's a reason nobody ever called it "Discounts for Fans Week". Leaves less for interpretation than "Fan Discount Week" in which they discount the fans.
Honestly, I'm actually fascinated by the price hike of Quietus. I've always wondered what the ceiling was on a 2nd release of a FT product given that almost everything else seems to leap off the shelves. TFsource seems to have finally gauged the price in which Quietus does not move instantly. You usually don't see a larger retailer establishing the ceiling on anything.

TF Source cross-lists their stuff on the Target website. If I want to turn target giftcards (from my mom, let's say) into fancy robots it's a pretty easy way to go. I used this method to get Fans Hobby Red Dragon and MMC Roller.
Does anyone actually buy anything from TFSource? Between "sales" like these and their problems with credit cards in the past I can't imagine a scenario where I would ever shop with them.
I ordered from TFSource twice in the past and never again. Their prices are just too insane to justify any repeat business.
“Customer Appreciation” my ass.
Once in a blue moon they'll actually put something on sale for a decent price (and they tend to stock upgrades kits at relatively competitive prices) but yes, I largely agree.

It's the $400.00 Maverick that is my current bane.
Oh, so we are waiting for Fan Depreciation week then?
… Man, do I feel silly now.

Hmm… Fanstoys Quietus, originally around $169.99. Skyrocketed to $309.99. To appreciate the fans and loyal customers, a discount of fifty dollars is offered. Only ninety more than original retail.
Appreciate is a neutral word, with one of the definitions being "to increase in value or price".

Super Mecha Dad
Weirdly enough, TFSource actually has some good deals today.
Iron Will for $70 is a steal. Striker Noir and Buster Skywing for $70 each are a great deal too.

"Hey there buddy. Your wallet is amazing! It's just so deep & wide. Spread open invitingly….. excuse me while i go take a cold shower. Buy some toys!"
The Happenin Rhinoceros
Several of these I can literally buy right now for $100 less at other sites. What does TF Source appreciate about their customers? Gullibility?
jignat
Instead of offering fake sales, why don't they upgrade their credit card functionality?
Ramjet555
TFSource caring about their customers? Had to check my calendar, thought it was April 1st when I read that
