Third party company Alien Attack Toys, via their Weibo account, have revealed the first color renders of their new AAT-05 Manticore & AAT-04 (Masterpiece Scale DOTM Crowbar & Cranckcase).
These are promising projects which bring us movie-accurate Dark Of The Moon Dreads for the Masterpiece scale with 19 cm tall in robot mode each. The figures include all Crowbar’s and Crankcase’s weapons and guns as seen in the movie. Both are expected for release in the third quarter of 2022. One of the comments in Alien Attack Toys Weibo mentions that Hatchet (the third Dread) will be revealed soon.
Keep in mind that these are still early renders and there could be several modifications once we see the first prototype. Click on the bar to see the mirrored images on this news post and then share your impressions on these figures on the 2005 Board!

See now I'm more confused because I swear XTB has alot of freelance work compared to the other big 3P companies. I think they definitely use the same factories (which explains how both companies have QC issues), but there definitely has to be a couple different designers involved.
octobotimus
I mean, it matters very little as the actual designer would be the same. Keith is just the boss. Engineering is definitely the same dude.
BIOMEC
The XTB rep on here said that, but everything from the design process to the figure production is pretty much XTB
Primal Suit
Didn't Grifter Prime say that Keith wasn't actually the one working on AAT, but one of his friends?

Mr. Keith Alien Attack
BIOMEC
Keith is his name!
artimus prime
Saying the company was named after him gave me a chuckle.
Khelthorn
I figured you were just being polite and not naming a name because he might not want his name to be named.

I thought calling him Mr. Alien Attack made that fairly obvious lol
Khelthorn
As in you don't know the guy either?
octobotimus
John Hasbro beat up Mr Alien attack.
jru42287
They're not really scrapped, I was just being an ass. We don't really know what up with these guys until AAT themselves gives us a hint.
Khelthorn
So what's the reasoning of scrapping Crowbar and Crankcase?
TF Hot Rod
Hopefully they are the next two they do but who knows, they could be scrapped or take like 10 years to make.
jru42287
No, they just released King of Kavaliers not that long ago, which was surprisingly good.
Khelthorn
I had sent a message through Facebook to them and never got a response. Did they just give up on designing and making figures all together?
Zoo
Wouldnt be mad if these were scrapped entirely and redone. Id want them to be around 22cm, to scale with ba or bmb ironhde and less blocky. They look a lot like peru kill lol, wouldnt hold up today.
kok was a big success for aat, im sure they got more coming
Rakuen_Nox
I’d count my blessings if we ever get their Hound; can’t believe we got two rounds of tenders and unpainted prototypes but still never got any closer to owning the figure!
Then to get their dreads as well within the next two years that would be a real mpm bayverse Hail Mary!
ladiesman217ebay
Honestly, hound should have the priority (more profitable probably), and then these two. Anyway, come back in 2 years or less and maybe they’ll be released

I know Mr. Alien Attack (who the company is named for) and he told me personally.
