TFW2005 member and artist Alex Milne provides an early look at and commentaries for his covers likely due in November and December for upcoming issues of Transformers: Shattered Glass.
My cover for #Transformers: Shattered Glass issue 4 by @IDWPublishing It’s an homage to the classic TF Marvel issue 67 cover originally created by @JimLee It was so fun to work on and an honor to homage an image for a creator who had a big influence on me when I was young 🙂
My cover for #Transformers: Shattered Glass issue 5 by @IDWPublishing It’s an homage to the Marvel G2 issue 5 cover originally created by @DEREKart Another really fun cover to work on. I’m really happy to get a chance to do these 5 SG homage covers 🙂
Review the artwork after the jump, then sound off on the 2005 boards!

That's still one of the best comic covers i've ever seen.
It's also a great mugshot of Tarn. Makes him look so cool!
Requiem Prime
I love when they do this.
Shin-Gouki

Until Hasbro/Takara ever does make one, Mastermind’s is a reeeeeally good Tarn, worth the $100-ish he goes for (though the secondary market is probably lots more these days…)
Alex Milne is king of the TF artists, far as I’m concerned. These covers look great. Can’t wait for my SG figures to get here.

I love both of these covers, especially the Alas Poor Bludgeon homage. Tese homagies are just a really cool concept for a Shattered Glass series, and it actually makes me more interested in reading the things.
G1 Grimlock
Nice cover
Megastar
This is cool.
Vector Oracle
Chopperface
Love when Milne does homages, I’m always excited to see what he references next.
Dexatronic
Give me a God damn Tarn!

I love Jim lee.
Warpshard
I'm loving the homages on these Shattered Glass comic covers.

Instead of FFF praising IDW covers (that probably wont sell more than 5k copies) of characters that have figures. Would it have hurt Hasbro's staff to make figures out of characters from previous IDW covers that did probably twice as good….?
Treadshot 2.0
I really like these homage covers, but the Yaniger homage in particular REALLY nails it … stylistically, compositionally, feel… you name it. Its amazing how far you've come on your creative journey and I'm excited to see where you go next.

I actually HAD that issue of G2! I really should find the graphic novels of them!
John TheDestroyer
These look really nice. Love how they mirror old covers
Oniconvoy
The Goldbug cover has none of the energy of the original Jim Lee cover.
CyberstormSM
Lovely art and references.
Novaburnhilde
Great homages.
