Absolutely
BlackHawkOmega
Do you mean like, them but NOT in disguise?

All I care about is if they're going to repaint/retool this badboy as the Masquerade before it's all said and done. G2 paint job is almost a given, but I want something a little more out there.
Bluetigatron
Personally I'm mostly hoping for some good hand articulation and the ability to stand in pose
Magna Prime
I seriously can't wait till all this menasor talk is done. The horse is dead. Just wait and see already.

I think it varies by combiner to combiner. It was wise to start with Menasor, as his Combiner Wars build was among the weakest. But I’d be unlikely to buy a Superion in this line as CW Superion is a heck of a figure, especially if you got a hold of the Unite Warriors build or the limited release Quickslinger figure.
Bruticus is my favorite combiner. I’ve bought him over and over, so I may protest double dipping on him but I’m likely to do so, especially if we get a decent Brawl (he’s often the weakest figure). But his Combiner Wars build is really great and if we don’t get a Legacy build, I won’t complain.

And other than the head it's the best he's ever looked IMO. If Legacy Menasor ends up even half looking like this I'll get him.

Still be a thicker leg than just the car transformered into a leg without the frame.

I imagine all the Stunticons, including Motormaster, slot into parts of the trailer specifically and specially designed for them. I guess that should make them look good and more unified as a gestalt. I also like the idea of the feet being part of the trailer.

I guess it'll be like this guy with cars slotted into various sections. But hopefully a lot better.
I think they'll approach the other main combiners differently.
I liked the idea of the CW combiners, but I wasn't a fan of the stability and occasional aesthetic issues involved. I initially also missed Menasor not having a trailer as part of his combined mode, but I got used to it. It was just his habit of falling down that got annoying. (Incidentally, I think I'll be repurposing some of my CW/UW combiners.)
Now, though, i guess I'll have to hunt the next incarnations all over again.
TFXProtector
That's a good example of why I never go to them for news. The source is here, anyway, but to twist it and change it and modify it like that is purely unprofessional.
As for Menasor… I think that leg design gives the best of both worlds. It's animation accurate as in they snap onto him, and it's toy accurate as they more or less make up the leg.
I can't wait to see the final pics (or even close to it) but man…it's going to be a difficult wait. =\

That last part is weird, makes me think he is going to have some pretty thin legs. Still excited for Menasor, now just cautious about what it looks like. Ok Hasbro managed to get one reveal without any leaked images/copies, lets go back to the video reviews being up a month before the figure is revealed.

While they copied some of what Apollux said, they left out or reworded some. He later clarified his leg comment:
It sounds like the hollow rectangle is just an empty frame and the car roof is visible on one side and the car underside is visible on the other side of the frame.
DocSeth81
i agree there is room for both. I am perfectly happy with my CW Stunticons, but if you want legacy ones, i hope you enjoy tnem
WishfulThinking
There's definitely a place at the table for both. In my example, I'll be holding on to my Combiner Wars figures and buying the new Legacy combiners. Both serve different purposes that fill certain niches in my collection. I'd just like fans to understand they shouldn't be dismissive to either purpose – because there's going to be someone out there whose purpose it serves either way.
Ramberk Magnus
To each their own. I skipped all of the combiners in CW because I just wasn’t a fan of how they got implemented. I know folks don’t care for how these new combiner(s) will be implanted but again, to each their own.
WishfulThinking
I don't put anything past Hasbro anymore.

Oh I get that but I think it is going to be impossible to get cartoon accuracy while retaining the toy gimmicks completely. The entire Prime Wars trilogy was about placing the emphasis on the gimmicks and now the designers are going for accuracy/articulation. I would say it would be neat if after the car bots are attached to the Menasor skeleton that the limbs can detach all together and swapped between torso bots. They would not be able to be any limb but you could at least mix up the combiners still. Granted I am not sure if the designers would even bother doing this as it would eat up the budget for basically a person to do it once and then go back to normal configuration.
As for a modern Diaclone Ironhide/Ratchet mech I don't see them doing a straight version of that anytime soon but I could see them making that a third mode of those future figures as a homage to the toy.
WishfulThinking
Some us collectors appreciate replication of the old gimmicks, regardless of cartoon accuracy. It's as simple as that.
I'm still hoping we eventually get a toy accurate Ironhide and Ratchet with modern articulation, clown face seat head in the windshield and all. The closest we have so far is 2005 Botcon editions.
