Courtesy of Instagram user @transformersaltmodes who is also 2005 Board member XenoXX121, we have some images and footage of Optimus Prime’s vehicle mode in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts in action.
We have some images and a short video showing Optimus Prime in action on the set of Transformers: Rise of the Beats at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, Canada. We can see Optimus truck mode dashing across the set.

Certainly Michael Bay humanized the transformers a lot, technically Hasbro and Takara had to improvise to make them toys, but it is not so bad that we say in the Studios Series, of course there are some that are better not to mention but there are some that can be saved.
But it is almost difficult to find a clean figure on the back. Only that show z store makes the decent figures only that they neglect the quality of material and the price if they make the figures well
BigRed
That is because Hasbro and Takara had the science down on Optimuses that transform like the G1 one for years.
They finally nailed TF1 Optimus after a while, but then, Michael Bay forced them to deal with absurdly crappy "basically a man made out of car parts" AoE Optimus
SPLIT LIP
Because that toy uses kibble well. The tall shoulders create a unique silhouette and defining trait of both Laser Optimus and RID Scourge.
Also there's FE Prime and SS Optimus. They have pretty much zero backpacks and use all the available chunk well.

Funny how that works.

Ya lo desactive pero estaré supervisando si mis comentarios y post me salen esto que me dice para corregirlos

It’s honestly kinda funny how so far decreasing the mass in the truck has actually given us cleaner Optimus toys. Like long nose cabs should make it easier for Hasbro, yet they end up with larger backpacks…

God I LOVE this alt-mode. The grill, the general colors, this looks like the G1 Prime truck mode properly updated and I\'m here for it.

Please don't give Hasbro even more of a reason to give a movie character an egregious backpack.

I can't believe we're now complaining about the real world efficacy of Prime's fifth wheel.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it, so there is that.
And it’s only been once or twice tops- so not a regular thing. But that it even existed at all meant it never happened.
and it doesn’t even fill in the back. They are just rails. So it’s not exactly added material for legs.
But if it helps make the onscreen vehicles match the toys better I’m ok with this.
So far.

The thing is fifth wheel height is pretty standardised internationally for obvious reasons – so most tractors can haul most trailers. Its around 47" in US. Auxiliary frames to beef up the main rails for heavy loads are a thing, but you're talking a few inches max typically for the above reasons. There aren't many reasons to make a tractor that couldn't haul standard trailers level, or vise-versa. This looks to have the fifth wheel raised almost a foot.
Not saying that coukd never exist, but would be some unusual custom application. Another problem is the rails just look to high extending too far back, so there might not be sufficient clearance for the tractor and trailer to pivot vertically with respect to each other for going up and down hills. Looks like as soon as the tractor would enter a downwards slope, the back top corner of those rails would contact the underside of the trailer!
So maybe not the most practical for real trucking, but hey it's Optimus Prime, not a working truck!! I agree it adds visually some mass to the back of the truck and its not so ridiculous it'll take me out of the movie. They are only, what 3/8" box section beams anyway – not actually amounting to much giant robot mass anyway! Still gonna be some ridiculous amount of robot coming out of these vehicles as always, and I can live with that, so this ain't gonna bother me.

That's more or less what it sounds like and just further proves why the whole 'realism' argument is not a good one. Are Klingon's realistic? How about Daleks? the Arachnids? Wookies? Kang and Kodos? Andalites? The answer is 'who fucking knows' because we've not met any aliens yet so we have nothing to compare them to except other fictional examples.
Believability is also super subjective and depends on the person, like how everyone has a different threshold regarding suspension of disbelief and how much it takes to take them out of a story.
So just like calling someone a 'geewunner', saying "this design is more realistic' when talking about toy robots from outer space is tantamount to saying nothing at all.

Man, I wanna say I’ve seen something like that back end before.
Some kind of flashing to protect the hitch or something.
Not pulling a trailer… maybe it was hauling logs.
