Last week, Paramount Pictures Corporation has filed a new copyright entry at the United States Copyright Office for the upcoming Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts. The entry contains a brand new synopsis (highlighting Scourge) along with several other details.
It is interesting to note that the Projected Date of Publication is December 2022.
On a copyright filing for a movie, the Projected Date of Publication is the estimated date of the release of the movie. This is true for all movie copyright filings (see attached records of other movies – Dungeons & Dragons by Paramount Pictures and Eternals from Marvel Film Finance).
Based on the ROTB copyright, it is likely that the movie would indeed be delayed. Following the box-office fallout of Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, Paramount immediately took down the September release date of Clifford The Big Red Dog. It is likely that the prevailing situation is affecting the completion of the 7th Transformers Live Action Movie. This is also denoted by the ‘Date of Anticipated Completion’; which is the reference to the estimated completion date of Post Production. The film is expected to be completed by June 2022.

Oh okay so I see "Twitter" has replaced "Tumblr" as people's boogeyman when a franchise they grew up on changes something in a way they don't like.
Oh hey look it's that same "news" site that used randos (on Twitter, which I thought was bad now) saying "Oh my theater is empty so clearly the Captain Marvel books were cooked."
Hey remember when this thread was about Rise of the Beasts and not inane conspiracies about why media featuring women and people of color are finding success?
I don't blame them. If theaters go under it's going to dramatically change how audiences consume movies and what kinds of movies get consumed.
Services like Netflix, Hulu, etc. have trained us that there is an outlet to watch new shows and TV with a monthly service…but it's also harder to promote content on these services because there's just so damn much of it.
I don't think general audiences, as a whole would be as inclined to spend $30 a week (if Disney has their way) on new movies that normally would only be one or two tickets ($15)…at least not when there's so many alternatives that are *free* with subs (HBO Max, for example).

Companies are losing money trying to keep the theaters open during the pandemic

I'd like them to delay the movie if it results in a better end product. However, these movies are more suited for a Summer release IMO. Especially if they're really going for the high budget blockbuster style.

Of course I don't. I just have opinions about it.
Everyone I personally know who saw Black Widow loved it, I liked the newest MOTU (not "He-Man") show just fine, and I know tons of people who loved the last Star Wars trilogy, which is probably why it made so much money.
People on Twitter are still people.
And i'd be one of those people.

Yeah, that website is utter shit. Came across it yesterday for the first time and read a bunch of their (older) articles. Made me wanna slam my head on the desk badly.

“Taskmaster? Isn’t that a game show?”
GizmoTron
Well, honestly most people would just say "Taskmaster who?"

"You can actualy read the article" lacks worth considering the content of the article and it's source. It's Cosmic Book News. Pathetic red-flag waving site that tries to make money out of Gamergate flavored internet outrage and has, and will do it again, twisted half truths and brainless drama to serve that flavor of audience clicks they want to reach. They are nothing more than the mirrored equivalent of "OMG The First Gay Disney Character?!" clickbait articles.
Even if the "fell of the TOP 10 was a sign that it bombed" detail ends up being true, it's HeMan. He-Man has been a cold and weak brand running on nothing but nostalgia for a long time now. I would assume that a new He-Man show failed to make a splash because it is He-Man before I would assume that it failed because "They Fucked WITH US! THE REAL FANS! AND WE ARE ALL RIGHT WING OKAY?!" as Cosmic Book News likes to push everyday and every week.
And I say all of this as someone who thought Revelations was terrible and boring with dreadful visual direction.
Wait for actual solid Mattel/Netflix financial numbers instead of giving attention to professional hornet-nest stirrers.

You can actually read the article, but you can also keep believing in your big conspiracy theory, it's none of my business
Hoffman
You realize the Top 10 on Netlfix is complete nonsense, right? It's not even the same for each person.
Just like their 'random' selection that always give you the particular thing they're pushing at any given moment.
cybeast
Considering the new He-man, some article do have things like this:
https://cosmicbook.news/kevin-smith-he-man-drops-netflix-top-ten
So it's not really just a "part of big conspiracy", there's at least some truth in that.
Hoffman
It's pretty hard to win an argument when the response just becomes "no no, those things aren't actually successful. It's a big conspiracy to hide how much of a complete failure they were. It isn't possible that they were successful and people liked them because I didn't."

That or AoL Instant Messenger.

And all of them that do must only be from Twitter. All 1-2 billion dollars worth of them. Cause everyone else absolutely hated them explaining the 0 score rating everywhere.
I wonder what the equivalent of Twitter must have been back in 1999-2005.

Partsforming if done right isn't nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. A minor example would be TR Legends Brawn – he technically is a partsformer because the roof of his vehicle mode has to separate for transformation.
At the end of the day the only thing that matters is what the return on investment is. Funny how sales data for these besieged versions of beloved franchises, when not hidden, tend to make it obvious that claims of success are hollow when the long term viability projections of revenue take a nosedive. Too early to see this happen with Masters of the Universe right now since that just came out not too long ago, but the rot has already taken hold.

Movies loathed by the vast majority of people that saw it don't make one billion dollars though. "Word of mouth" would kill the legs of a movie like that significantly harder than the drop the final movie of the trilogy featured. In the same way you claim that the unreasonably blind praise of that film comes only from Twitter you must remember that the fiery nerdy rage for the films also comes only from social media. I have personally never met a single person of meat and bone that even heard that the movie was controversial outside of similarly geeky friends that also keep an eye on american social media drama.
IDWDrift
There are people that go to movies and end up disliking them.
Nova Maximus
Hmmm yes, billions of dollars worth of people must only be on twitter.
