We can finally share for you a nice set of official images of the new Premium Finish Studio Series Ratchet And War For Cybertron Siege Starscream.
Premium Finish Ratchet is a special redeco of the Studio Series SS-04 Ratchet mold with several new extra paint applications and tampograph. Premium Finish Starscream is quite a curious case. While many fans would have expect a “clean” version of the mold without the battle damage paint, this new redeco still shows the weathering effect but in a completely different shade which is more noticeable in alt mode and more subtle in robot mode.

Nah I’m pretty sure Hasbro has nothing to do with this like the MP’s.

I thought they were the same

Isn’t this Takara?

Hasbro’s QC seriously needs improvement. They ask for more money but give worse quality. My Sideways only has a half painted grill.

I must admit I bought this because I wanted to "redo" the backpack mod (cutting it into just two pieces instead of three) and it was cheaper buying this version than the original again.
The extra paint is pretty nice, though I miss the blue headlights that added some color to the robot mode. Would've loved for them to include the gun as well as the saw, make this the "ultimate" release instead of just a "fancy" one. Also they really misaligned the decal here:

I’m too scared to do this, but it looks soooooo good. Eh. If I screw it up, Ill just buy another.

I don’t pay attention to a reviewers normally, but I think it’s only fair that they review a copy that was either given to them for review by the company who made the toy, or they bought it off the shelf. To formulate an opinion on a factory reject, or a copy that “fell off the truck” can lead to an opinion about the toy that’s misleading for both company and consumer.

Shameless plug for my video!

That reminds me, I need to get a second copy of Ratchet so I can have one to do the backpack mod and still have a pristine one.
I love this deco and this figure. Mine is fine with a little future.

I don't think his heart is in it anymore. He used to be really into this and didn't complain. He was too much the other way, admittedly, but it was pleasant. Then he started being honest about the figures and some of his calls were spot-on. Now, he's too far the other way and everything sucks. I don't understand how you get to that point, but there he is.
I think he's sick of toys in general, though. He complains about *all* of the figures he's buying. I'll give him credit, there, as he's not picking and choosing and all are fair in his targeting scope.
I mean, yeah. He, BSF, and Baltmatrix must have a cabal of reviewers meeting on a volcanic island somewhere, where they rub their hands together, utter things such as "I love it when a plan comes together!", and laugh like madmen.
Fair enough, but he even complains about figures that are legit. He couldn't even let Cosmos have the win, y'know? He had to complain about his transformation like it was the worst thing ever and I'm like Khaby Lame over here. The only legitimate complaint was about the case assortment with Cosmos in it.
I dreaded buying one of these, honestly. I saw it on Amazon (Warehouse) and saw a new one for like $.50 more, so I decided "Okay, I'll give it a shot. Can't get it cheaper, I don't think." and he surprised me. He's solid. I can shake him and none of the limbs budge. I was so impressed with that. The fact that there are no misfired pins on this one is also a plus.

The reasons why his copies are shit is because he buys factory rejects.

Chefatron talks more about the plastic than the figure. Lol
VVa
He's a known wanker among toy reviewers.

I mean I got a lemon on the first try too, but my second one was perfect. However, Chefatron is lazy and not a good reviewer. Just look at how his SS Sideways looked! His SS Arcee triplets review made me wonder why he even did the review in the first place. He's just not that good, pay him no mind.

I just got my Ratchet form another member here, and sadly, the "doors" and roof don't peg in as well as my DotM version of the mold. It's not a huge deal, and I'll keep massaging. Regardless, it just makes me pine for more releases like this. I got this to take the place of Ratchet from the upcoming 5-pack. And I wish the others in the set could look as good. I'm sad to see the state of the subline in limbo, as I was looking forward to Jetfire—and then hopefully more?

What's sad is the Masterpiece version of this character has a premium MOLD but not a premium FINISH.

Going to bump this because I bought one of these off of Amazon and it arrived today, case fresh and sealed. (Pristine in a bubble mailer, too!)
It's so good that I have to wonder what the heck is wrong with Chefatron. While I get that each person's experience can and will be different and that nothing's perfect, I have to say he's gone off the deep end with this one. The joints are so much tighter on this version than my SS original. The paint apps are crisp and pristine! The deco is astounding. This is the figure we should've gotten in the first place. Even the panels line up nice and tight. (I had a misfired pin on my original, but it was too much hassle and cost to go and replace him. All the effort and work wouldn't have been worth it.)
I can see where there could be serious problems with this figure, don't get me wrong, I can also see where mold degradation could really ruin the experience, but so far I've been SUPER impressed with this version of the figure. If the Premium Finish line is like this all the time, then it's absolutely worth the money. Wow.

Luckily my SECOND Ratchet from amazon came with a perfect box and very nice paint apps. I'll be keeping this one, despite the fact that I paid more than I wanted to for it ($47).

I got mine today. Paint looks great. He’s a bit loose like my others of this mold, but nothing future won’t fix. I haven’t transformed him yet, but so far I’m happy!
Oddly enough, even though I got him from TCP, he has the Hasbro Pulse sleeve…

Hopefully, I could see it being revealed around when the Prime comes out.
