Via the Facebook page Transformers Prototypes, we have what appears to be a possible prototype of Masterpiece Cliffjumper! After about a decade or so of “will-they-won’t-they” talk surrounding a Masterpiece figure of Cliffjumper due to Porsche’s strong reluctance to oblige Hasbro with the license, it’s easy to be wary, but with the recent sightings of a Porsche vehicle on the sets of the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts film we may not need to take these pictures with as much salt as we normally would.
All we have are two pictures of a green and black prototype of a Cliffjumper figure that appears to be mold-mates with the most recent Masterpiece Bumblebee figure, but next to him is also his signature rocket launcher, possibly adding more weight to this mystery. No other info has been uncovered yet, but in the meantime be sure to share your thoughts and speculation in the thread below!

I mean, it's only normal. The other only viable option for Cliffy has been released and it is likely going to bring up this figure that for all we know is no longer happening. Bummer really.

I was hoping someone would have a comparison up, with all the CJ copies floating around China, but none of the Chinese Parkour reviews didn't have one to compare. I found the comparisons to MP-45 kind of silly as there's a big difference between an altmode with mostly straight line compared to mostly curved lines. Its a pretty big reason why this looks more "together" than Bee.

FT's version does look decent, but I'm really not sold on the half-deformed car route that both they and MMC took. Either realistic or 'toon. Pick one.
I'm still sticking with XTB Toro, for now, until (if) the official one releases.

They both have their pros and cons. But to say FT’s cliffy’s back is anywhere near as messy as 45 means an aye doctors appt is sorely needed.
I love both, I WANTED TT to make a cliffy but honestly, FT’s version is great.

Yep, this is a stigma for every '80 cartoon: simple models for simple animations… unless your model is a transformer, in that case the cartoon accuracy increase the transformation difficulty. Masters, TMNT, all with that kind of problem.

The designs were changed for the cartoon for aesthetic and ease of animation purposes, yet the adhering to cartoon accuracy made it difficult to achieve a cleaner bot mode.
Ease for one side, difficulty for the other.

Mp-44 is also 7 time bigger than a minibot with a chibi alt-mode.
MP Bee and Cliff have cartoon strictly accuracy in proportions for bot and alt mode, and they hit the target the best that can they do. Other Cliffjumper options doesn't have cartoon proportions, simply as that. And the backpack is a mess in the FT too (and i have two word to say about "simple transformation")

I just personally don't think a panelly mess on the back is better than a relatively simple clean transformation. MP-44 pulled off the complexity aspect better.
