The Buzzworthy Bumblebee line is sure full of unexpected releases. This time, thanks to Twitter user @CybertronBeast, we have our first images of the new Buzzworthy Bumblebee Crash Combiners Primelock And Bumblegrim.
These 2-packs were spotted at a Toys”R”Us in London, Ontario in Canada. Primelock is a new redeco of the RID Crash Combiners Optimus Prime & Grimlock 2-pack while Bumblegrim is a curious mix of a Crash Combiners Bumbleside Bumblebee redeco (originally packed with Sideswipe) with a blue redeco of the aforementioned Crash Combiners Grimlock.
See all the mirrored images on this news post and then let us know your impressions on the 2005 Board!

So far, we have Movie, RID15, Cyberverse, Evergreen, WFC Trilogy, and G1 in this line; but nothing older than Age of Extinction.
From what I understand the original Primelock was rare, so this is a good direction.
Still hoping for Animated stuff, maybe a 2-pack with Activator Bee and Samurai Prowl; and for Prime, FE Bee and Cyberverse Scraplet.

Probably gonna pick these up. I love these fun little crash combiners

Yeah, these look really weird. I find the concept really intriguing but the execution really lackluster. And yes, and I know this are aimed at small children.
I really hope they CHUG-ify this concept down the line. I almost caved on the ones that were new characters. Would love to get the jets that never made it to the show, that right now I can't remember their names. I just now they released the Autobot versions first and then repainted them to Decepticons (or was it the other way around).

The Transformers Energon link is back. ok…

My interest with these… "oddities" would be more if they'd at least put more effort into designing even basic articulation into the components. Most of the "shirt" bots don't even have elbows and turning necks!
To be fair, I think out of all the "pants" bots, Grimlock's probably the best one. Considering the topic, that's not saying much though…
jya na!

I get it but..it kinda ruins the mix and match colour scheme thing

Me ; I like them a lot. Especially the Decepticon ones.

OK On some level I like these, but on another level I really wish they'd done more than 2 of them.
Also that they'd be a bit more creative with the colours.
Bumblebee in Black would have been nice to have more than something so similar to the previous one.
Despite the double Dip I do no object to strongly to the semi-G2 Blue/grey Grimlock or the one that is loosly similar to G1/RID gold Grimlock – it's not a perfect match but it's "close enough" Optimus is "OK – but again if he'd been dark Blue or even reverse colours i'd have liked that more – and he's have looked stylish with Grimlock like that.
Maybe if they were looking for ideas a Decepticon set with Nemesis Prime and Thermidor might have worked out OK too.
Perhaps the Stunticons could have been made in the correct colours (that would have been well worth doing – a simple pallet swap)
I'd not have minded another use of the little space ships mould too – I like that one.
I guess if I was looking at the moulds they have then Sideswipe in Red Alert or even Cordon/Clampdown colours is fairly obvious to do – but there is also if they wanted to address the theme they could have used Tigertrack colours to make a united yellow form and likewise a blue sideswipe to ty to Optimus colours – heck if they'd have been having a really cool day they could have given such a character a new name and so retrospectively "fixed" the issue with the Blue WFCT Deep Cover.
So I appreciate the idea I just think only doing two pairs of them only makes them a little bit useful. I'll absolutely buy them assuming anywhere in the UK actually bothers to sell the things – which is actually going to likely be a real problem with a lot of Buzzworthy toys. I may end up hoping they creep out to the discounter or ebay sellers to get them.
I guess I could "BEG" hasbro to sell them on their ebay Outlet – but I've had no luck getting them to get the Botbots they are missing so I hold out little hope there with that if they are something I have to chase (much like the G1 colour rescue Dinos to be honest).
I do kinda wish they'd done another couple of waves of crash combiners – I still play with them from time to time even now. They'd have made a great way to get some of the obscure Predacon/Decepticons out there too.
If they took the "Generations theme" seriously there is nothing stopping them doing it – other than a lack of will to draw on characters from RID in the way that sometimes drawn on them from the Movies or Transformers Animated.
It can get a bit stale sometimes when it's all G1 all the time I feel.
I think 8 brand new Crash combiners of characters that got few or no toys from other franchises like Transformers Prime or RID would really have made me sit up an notice.
But they only seem to want to push their "evergreens" lately unfortunately. Which often leaves me sitting twiddling my thumbs wondering if they ideas of the Universe Brand will ever return.
I means sure I have several hundred Bumblebee's now it's not like a few more will hurt – but neither would a Thermidor Crash Combiner either.
Oh and missed opportunity – they could have Tiger striped that Grimlock.
Incidentally there is a Cyberverse Dinobots product very similar to these so they kinda tie to those as well as the Bumblebee subline.

I really wish more parents were buying these for pre-school kids, but they always shelf warm. It's like more parents are just giving Pokemon cards and Fornite VBucks as gifts instead.

It’s so that Optimus Prime can have blue legs.

Do folks understand that stuff like this is perfect birthday gift fodder? You cover it up in gift wrap and your pre-school kids eat it up!

Holy.
Shit.

Nice, I know they aren't the best toys but I have a soft spot for these. Both bought on sight.
Also love the continuing joke of RID2015 Grimlock when combining: "Why do I always gotta be the legs?!?"
*raises hand* I gots 'em all, and I'll be getting the Cyberverse equivalents as well.
magnusprime2012
They are actually available in Toysrus in Mississauga , Ont , Canada as well

If you want a cartoon-looking Bumblebee at retail prices what other options do you have besides Cyberverse?

First people were complaining this line is nothing but reissues; now that they are doing repaints people still complain.
Here's hoping if they do the Combiner Bee Team, it will be a Repaint; and here's hoping his wave mate might be the rumored unreleased Combatacon Team, which probably won't happen.
So far the only figures I only picked up 2 Buzzworthy figures, I already have most of these molds or there things I still don't want.
Now I do already have RID2015 Crash Combiners, and there fun simple toys, these new repaints look fine, but I'm not rebuying what I already have.
We also don't know if the Crash Combiners and Roll and Combine are Compatible yet.
DriftsEdge
I don’t know why they put Car Shatter in the line since Jet Shatter is obviously the superior version of the character representation.
Bumblejazz
…honestly, I'd probably buy that

Who even buys Crash Combiners?!

Since when did Grimlock start wearing blue trousers?
