Via TonTon Review on Youtube we have new in-hand images of the upcoming Transformers Studio Series SS-78 Revenge Of The Fallen Sideswipe.
This a retool and redeco of the previous Studio Series SS-29 Dark Of The Moon Sideswipe, now featuring darker parts, shiny silver paint and it transforms into a Corvette Stingray alt mode (with roof). The figure still includes the blades and guns of the original release. A very nice addition to your growing Studio Series collection.

I haven't tried this in a while, but I'm pretty sure on my copy of the DOTM one I can have him hold both by plugging the blades on and then carefully putting the guns in (and not all the way).
In the end, it looks kinda silly anyway.

I wonder if you have a spare Toyhax label sheet laying around, if you could just neatly cut a small rectangle out of the unused area of the sheet and use that to create the headlights?
I don't think this figure really needs a full label set.

Awesome, I was about to pull the trigger on the SS29, and I'm glad I didn't. I would of had buyer's remorse otherwise. I'll be more than happy with this new version. I preferred the hard top more.

That shot of both Sideswipe's in robot mode facing forward, I was showing it to a friend who likes Transformers and we almost spent half an hour trying to figure out which one was Dark of the Moon and which was ROTF.

Definitely liking the colors on the ROTF more. I also like the hardtop version of the Vette. Didn’t think I’d need this one when my DOTM version is fine, but looks like I’ll be buying him and Jolt

Not trying to be snarky, I genuinely don't understand why it bothers people; the stakes here are so small and the dollar amounts (in terms of losses to Hasbro) so trivial, it doesn't seem worth worrying about. Shoulder location is one thing the new mold does better.
I really dislike how wide-bodied Sidearm is, due to how his shoulders are inaccurately mounted outside the fenders, instead of beneath.
Plus that mold doesn't have the blades.
