3rd party company Planet X has just uploaded a gallery of colored images for their highly-anticipated PX-C04 Cacus figure to their Facebook page, both in his robot and dinosaur modes. Based on the popular IDW Grimlock design, Cacus is looking very promising and accurate, although it’s noted that the colors have not been finalized at this time and may yet see changes made before release, so be sure to give feedback on any alterations you’d like to see made.
Check out the images and let us know if you’re interested in adding this piece to your collection after the jump!

I emailed them this afternoon. I just let them know the shoulders are broken.
Honesty
It’s possible you could have gotten an older stock. Did they send you replacement shoulders at all? You should definitely ask.
GuardianofIaconCity
Either tfsource sent me an old one or the shoulders are still an issue.

I was about to come in and ask that very question. I see that ShowZ has him for 219 or something. I figured I'd pick him up as he looks dope.
Blue Prime
No. I bought mine in September and it works like a champ.

Do the later batches still come with broken shoulders?
FruitBuyer
For starters the difference between them is fairly small. I consider them all incredibly good figures.
It's been a while but the main reason I prefer Grinder over Superator is preferring his aesthetic for Grimlock and playability. Grinder is my personal favourite design on a pure G1 Grimlock.
Akupro
Now I'm curious about your rating system because imho Superator is better than Grinder, not by a large margin but still…

What are your top 3 Grimlocks?
FruitBuyer
I have to agree with you here. He's probably not the most difficult to transform within my collection (that was MP-36 and Apollyon) but the legs felt needlessly complicated. It's actually kinda funny when you remember that Grimlock traditionally had some of the easiest transformations
I remember thinking PX's Vulcun's legs being a bit worrying to transform but Cacus took that to another level
Of course I still love Cacus dearly, top three 3P Grimlock in my opinion.

I was watching a transformation video from Mangamotion and he showed that to turn off the light gimmick use the magnet in the hollowed back of the head and it turns off, I haven't tried it yet but I'm hoping it works.
Nova Maximus
Finally got a Tarn to go with him.

to be fair, I’d expect this figure to draw blood. He Grimlock, King.

The transformation isn't hard in my experience, but you definitely have to have the hips lined up in exactly the right spot in the ratchet joints for everything to go together right. It also suffers from the normal Planet X 'you barely have any clearance to actually do what you need to' thing, and is one of the few transformations to draw blood on me.
theosteve
Normally, I’m not terribly concerned with bad transformations. I’m usually perfectly content with the figure remaining in robot mode forever, so I will transform them a single time at most.
The exceptions to the rule? Figures with beast alt modes. Both are fun to pose, so I tend to go back and forth. And that’s why I have still never pulled the trigger on Cacus, because the reputation about the transformation really has me hesitant, despite absolutely loving the aesthetics of both modes.
GrimLocke
Cacus is the most difficult figure to transform in my collection, but that to some extent speaks to my lack of extreme problem children in my house.
I will say, tho, that they've gotten easier with time, both from probably being broken in, as well as just from gaining familiarity with how to transform them.
Goose24
Oh I wasn’t criticizing your stance. Like you said it’s all subjective. Just hadn’t heard that level of discomfort.
Then again, mine was transformed once and never touched again so…
Fito
Eh, we have different tolerance for things and tastes; also, i obviously can only talk about figures i have. So i don't have, for example, DS Starscream to compare. But Cacus legs to me aren't only difficult, they go into "risk of breakage is baked into the engineering" territory. Again, YMMV and it's perfectly fine.
Goose24
Most hated of all time? Wow. It was bad IMO but has a long way to go before it hits some of the levels of other ones I have like MP 36 and MP 09.
