We have another confirmed actress for the next Transformers live-action movie. Luna Lauren Velez, who played María LaGuerta in “Dexter” and the voice of Rio Morales in “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, has joined the cast of “Transformers 7″.
Comicbookmovie.com states:
Talking to us about her new movie Rogue Hostage (which is now available to watch in select theaters and On Demand after being released on June 11), star Luna Lauren Velez (Dexter, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) confirmed that she recently boarded the cast of the seventh Transformers movie.
“I’m doing Transformers 7 which I’m very excited about,” Velez told us earlier today. “I play Anthony Ramos‘ mom in that film, so there’s some exciting stuff coming up.”
When we put it to her that it must be incredibly exciting to board a big budget franchise like Transformers, she added: “It really is. I have to confess that I haven’t seen any of the films, so to come in a project like this at this moment was really great. I’m excited about that. It’s going to be fun stuff.”

Oh nice. I do hope so

Like that'll ever happen. I think we should consider ourselves lucky that Hasbro is finally giving us some good toys of BW characters after god knows how long. A big budget BW film, while cool, would simply be impossible right now.
Anything is better than that travesty. Honestly, while my opinion on Age of Extinction soured in the years that followed after its release, TLK was the final nail in the coffin. It legitimately made me hate the movie that came before it. The Wahlberg films sucked and the Bay films should've ended after Dark of the Moon.
Pretty sure an animated prequel that is set on Cybertron is currently in development.

I feel like Hasbro was just pulling our legs by calling it “beast alliance” when it’s clearly gonna be a sequel to Bumblebee. And I feel like it’s being done because “Bumblebee did well, so a sequel set in the 90s would do just as well.” The actors have been in good stuff before, and I think they’ll do pretty well in this movie, but I feel like the overall audience isn’t being listened to when they wanted a Beast Wars movie and/or movie set on Cybertron. I wish we could get those soon, but it seems unlikely.
(Bumblebee 2 is still gonna be a lot better than TLK, though. Let’s be real here)

Oh shit we got the heavy hitters on deck! I’m sure De Niro is next lol

Aw I loved her in Spider-Verse, I’m excited to see what she brings to the movie
1. She isn’t the first “human” to be cast in the movie.
2. This movie has not been confirmed to be beast wars and likely will have no connection to that story and it’s characters
