Takara Tomy Transformers Twitter have uploaded some official in-hand images of the new PF WFC-02 Megatron (War For Cybertron).
Following Premium Finish Optimus Prime in-hand images, now we have a closer look at PF WFC-02 Megatron figure itself. This is a special redeco of the War For Cybertron: Siege Voyager Megatron in a special cartoon-accurate deco.
This figure may have an official US release as it happened with Premium Finish Studio Series Bumblebee and Siege Optimus Prime, so stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates.

Mine came with a deformed head so I swapped it out with the first release and painted my own highlights. Probably should buy another to see if I'd like the effect on display

I think it was intended to be a wash going over the whole back of the head too, mine's similar but also clumps up before the halfway point like yours. The solicited pics have a wash over the whole head, you can see the silver on his 'mohawk' and flecks on the antenna. My in-hand Premium is more like yours, with a silver 'headband' but further back is clean

Same here when I had my original. And I turned and took the head off multiple times with no issue. This was the first I'd heard of it.

Never had head turning issues on either BB OP figure. Didn't even hear of it on the original figure from before either.

As for the bandana I'm going to fade it with 90proof it's gonna look good.

It was hella tight. This one's fine now after some shock oil, but on my original copy the head just twosted off after a few days.

I’d very much wish they’d start doing previously exclusive figs that now have extremely bloated after market prices; like Netflix Earthrise Soundwave or VW Earthrise Bumblebee. But if we’re gonna be getting crappy cheap newspaper comic strip paint jobs, I’ll just pay the aftermarket price.

I'm still gonna get it since I sold off my original a bit ago and I need a BBM Prime again and I don't really want to wait for a ROTB version. I might try to see if I can wash it off with rubbing alcohol or something cause that's the only thing I had about this.

I'm sorry it didn't pan out as you had hoped. This line shouldn't exist. The only reason it does is that it makes HTF figures such as SS-38 Optimus more accessible after they stopped producing the original runs. And they know it. It's nothing more than a phoned-in cash grab. It's offensive to those who want a premium take on these figures/designs/decos.

I was excited to own this mold again, but this line is utterly disappointing. You can't make a product line for better, accurate paintjobs and immediately skimp out on paint AND make the battle damage worse than in promo pics.
They didn't even fix the head joint, which was why my original copy broke.
At least the legs hold together a little bit better. Would have been nice if they completely fixed the mold so it doesn't automatically untab the lower legs if you straighten out the feet.
What a waste of potential.

Same. I kind of like the brightness of the Premium Finish, but the overall look of the regular is the better of the two in my book.
I do like hearing there's better tabbing on the PF one, though. That's a pretty good sales pitch, honestly.

Posted these earlier in the review thread. He's not "bright". He's basically the next vibrant shade over for red and blue. The tabs overall work better too. Left is PF version.
