Kingdom Core Class Wave 3 Out at US Retail

Good news everybody! Joining Voyager Rhinox and Leader Galvatron in the trend of US Sightings of wave 3 of Transformers Kingdom sightings is the next release of Core class figures! The very mighty, yet tiny, Core class Soundwave has been found at a Target in Illinois. The sightings comes from a now sold listing on Mercari which features a picture of the figure on a Target shelf.

Also featured in Wave 3 is Dracodon a green repaint of Wave 1 Vertebreak. Chime in on your sightings on the 2005 boards after the jump

Don’t start thinking he won’t get scalped, they saw the markups they could charge with Netflix wave, they’ll do the same. Won’t be surprised to see him for 30 online in a few months.

Scalpers aren't really an issue here which is great but as I'm getting him online the whole hunt is moot.

He looks great for the size and price point

Found him at Walmart today in Indianapolis. Go figure, I bellyache about his seemingly limited availability and then there he is!

I realize now he is a purple-blue, and not navy blue like my others, but I don't care.

Counterpoint – they've got a bunch of the new Snake Eyes GI Joe stuff listed at the Core MSRP of $10.99 in the last week.

Is that because GI Joe doesn't already have a decent shelf presence?

Does anyone's Walmarts actually have Core in their planogram? The only brick and mortar place here that seems to carry them is Target which has three pegs for them, but Walmarts here don't even have a place for Core.

Of all the Wally's in my area, most of the super centers have pegs for core set aside.
Many have actual product on them.
Wv1 & 2 only.
None have got wv3 yet.
The smaller, non-grocery Wally's have way smaller action figure aisles.
Limited stock that varies store to store.
No cyberverse.
No core or leaders.

I know during Siege we had to wait some time before Pulse would put Micromasters up on the site, they never really had preorders, but Core Wave 1/Wave 2 didn't have this issue.

I am in Georgia. And the 4 Walmarts around me all carry lots of Core figures with 3-4 pegs full of them. I had no issues finding any of the W1 and W2 Core Figures. Surprising most of the Targets here do not carry Core figures and I've only noticed one Target that even has pegs for Core class figures.

I think it's more like the cost of shipping the $10 price point figure doesn't make it worth selling online for Pulse at this time.

Because of B&M stores wanted something to get you in the door…why do places like BBTS and Amazon get them? And why do B&M stores sell them online?

I think Hasbro just wants to make sure these sell in store so we don't get a repeat of the previous $10 price point, the Micromasters. I'm sure they have tons of plans with this and if Walmart says "nope. Don't sell, we won't carry them", then they won't be able to really do anything with those plans.

With nearly everything available online, the brick & mortar stores may have wanted something just for in-store purchase.
Bring you in to store for 1 thing, get you to spot purchase something else.

Or more accurately, being you into the store for several thing, none of which they have and then you spot purchase nothing.

Local Target had a decent stack of Dracodons, no Soundwaves. They only got put out last night so the Soundwaves all went quick.

Big blue still got it.

Of course he does, look at netflix version, anything to do with seekers or soundwave rakes in cash by name alone. Soundwave, especially anything that remotely looks like his g1 self is a guaranteed money back investment.

Got mine today. Though all the ball joints are the loosest of the other core class figures.

It's like selling a dream: imagine being able to buy these on ur own!

THIS is exactly why I wouldn't answer below:

No. I like to help fellow fans, but there are too many wolves in sheep clothing now. Every post pointing to a figure invites a hoard of scalpers and/or collectors from miles away to instantly clear out the store (which will then STRUGGLE to reorder the figures).

Times have changed. Every sighting posted destroys inventory and ruins the shopping experience for others. :( 

Says the guy who reads said sightings posts. Rolling my eyes. Just sign off and never come back to the sightings posts if it’s THAT BIG of a deal.
