Third party company NewAge have revealed, via their Facebook account, images of the color prototypes of their upcoming H29 Raum & H30 Vine (G1 Scavenger & Bonecrusher).
These Legends scale Constructicons are part of Newage’s Hephaestus combiner/G1 Devastator. Each figure will stand only 9.8 cm tall with a great cartoon accurate design and finishing, die-cast parts and a good range of poseability. Both figures will be sold as a 2-pack (as well as the rest of the Constructicons). Trumpets (yes, trumpets) will be included as a pre-order bonus and they are expected for release by the end of June but price is yet to be revealed.
A promising alternative to Magic Square Toys Legends Scale Devastator. Click on the bar to see the mirrored images and then join to the ongoing discussion on the 2005 Board!

I just got my G2/Yellow Devy in, I love the added details on the individual bots that show in combined mode. I’m definitely keeping the silver face on him, helps him stand out for sure.

At long last, my goal of obtaining all 4 recolors is now complete! (I have a problem)

Thanks! Happy to leave that be.

Stinky and the boys.
Seriously, these little guys are impressive. Ab crunches, wrist swivels, and opening hands—beats most of the Hasbro “leader” ‘bots.

They are to switch the hip ratchets to friction joints if you want.

Just got the weathered set from the ShowZ sale. What are these little circles for?

Is there a video on how to transform the upgraded legs on Mixmaster? They're confusing af

i was actually going to display na as individual bots as well to justify having 2 devys on the shelf, but i couldn’t get myself to disassemble him bc i like both their combined modes lol

That's what I did and I'm super happy with it. Devastator looks the part yet the individual Constructicons are fun to fiddle with and quick to flip between modes if I'm so inclined. And it must be said, a Season 1 Decepticons display look so much more full when you can have the individual Constructicons and Devastator on the same shelf.

Wow, about time! I had to make my own but at that price, I’ll probably pass
Scurv
Jeez, they both look good there. I think I might do MS for combiner and NA for botmodes.

If anyone picks up a set and doesn't want the eye decals, let me know and I'll pay you for them!

yes! i guess besides an overall positive acknowledgement in my earlier posts, i can list a few things:
– weathering, i mean “battle damaged” – i always felt this worked best with devastator bc of the construction vehicle theme, and he did not disappoint – he looks gorgeous in person, and if someone drew a gun to my head and asked me to pick between him and ms devy, i’d be in trouble (and this is coming from someone who’s heavily vested in ms and never cared about na’s aesthetics)
– downward head tilt. very trivial detail, but makes his a-stance that much more menacing (wish ms devy had this, but on the flipside he has upwards head tilt while na doesn’t)
– lanky proportions. i never cared for how thin he looked despite the toon accuracy in some frames, but the proportions in person, along with the downwards head tilt and weathering, *chef’s kiss*
– bot modes. some of them may be a little gappy such as around the chest/shoulder areas due to the double hinge shoulder joints and nothing to lock them in, but it’s fine overall once they’re lined up and posed
– combined stability. this is a love-hate kinda thing where i still think his combiner torso is kind of a copout from actually combining, but it lends itself to a more solid combined mode.
that’s all i can think of top of mind!

Anything you actually like about it?

I just got my Devy and he’s excellent. As my fav Newage toy, they outdid themselves once again with some of the best weathered paint work I’ve ever seen. Regular pictures and promo shots do NOT do him justice. I’ve compiled a few pictures for your viewing pleasure showing some of the excellent details seen that go unappreciated with Devy taking up the full frame of the image. Enjoy!

yup, already did that! you can see his neck in my pic, but even with the head pulled up, it only allows a very small amount of upwards movement
RameezTheElite
Try pulling his head up, it unlocks an extra ball joint!
Sadly the yelling face came with the Yellow Devy (Newage am I right)
The friction joints hold tight enough, the ratchets are more important on the outward joints or else he poses the risk of forgoing a proper A stance and going for the splits. I believe the upgrade kit allows you to add those ratchets, but i forget. I removed the MS Bruticus ratchets solely due to play value, and he still holds a pose mighty fine!
Mizer is def an odd one, those heel spurs make or break the stability, so it can be a challenge getting them right.
