Love this, def want that boombox.
The beatstreet days were great. lol
Double cassette players were awesome, you could use them as mixers to make your own albums.
Was also much easier recording things.
Plus they fit in your back pocket.
I miss tapes.
Venixion
I'm pretty sure boom boxes were cheaper back then.
Music
I like how the best Prime figurine copy they could find was the one with warped plastic.
Afterburner
What a bizarre product. Can't say I see any appeal here?

@ Powerbomb
That is very true and very funny! 😉

You idiots like old shit, here's two lots of old referential stuff together. Now it's twice as popular we'll sell twice as many. Warning – may disappoint on all levels.

I'm gonna say it…
Cassettes suck, and are inferior to Records & CD's.
They're only slightly better than wax cylinders (as a recording medium).
Anyone who is nostalgic about them is delusional.
And this product sucks.

Stop using the wrong Bumblebee model!

So, this is some "insert brand here", semi-ko Chinese electronic doo-dad with cheap, generic , semi-ko TF BB film figures?
They didn't even bother to just repaint it as Blaster/Twincast and include some G1 cassette bots?

I didnt even open up the pic and make it big. I assumed it was for regular sized tapes since it was part of a retro Bumblebee movie promotion. (Not anything G1 where mini-cassettes are being homaged) What I would really like is a life sized G1 Blaster Boombox with 6 inch subs and a working tape deck for regular sized (not mini) cassettes. I still got all my NWA and 2 Live Crew cassettes and the only way I would ever play them again is if I can have that old school vibe. I miss the days of noise pollution before everyone started worshiping hradphones.

Play tapes? At that size? Ha!
It's a combination Bluetooth Speaker AND FM Radio, with moving fake cassette tapes for the look to be right. And each of them come with 1 of 5 Hand-Painted Figures of characters from the Bumblebee Movie (Four of them are Bumblebee, but they aren't articulate).

This…. would have been a decent time promotion if it came out in proximity to the movie… 2 years later, I dunno, it’s a pretty niche offering with nothing (as in, a major 4 quadrant tent pole feature) to back it up

What garbage. I thought it would actually play tapes.
dragon
with working boom box what you expect without boom box included 20 to 30 dollars for set something I expect to in happy meal toys maybe dollar store
f-primusunicron
i was interested untill i read the price
Daimao
$60 for the player and 1 figurine?! I might have been interested if it was a full set but thats ridiculous.
Requiem Prime
Best Guess: this was made way back but kept on the back burner until now. If so why not fix it? They got away with the wrong model this long.
