Via PrimevsPrime on Youtube we have our first in-hand images of the new Transformers R.E.D Wave 3 G1 Bumblebee.
Bumblebee is part of the new Transformers R.E.D Wave 3 non-transformable action figures line together with Coronation Starscream (which you can find in-hand images here). Bumblebee is another good representation of the Autobot scout. The figure features a wide range of poseability and includes extra accessories like a gun, a pair of extra hands, 2 blast effect and a big Energon cube. While based in his G1 design, Bumblebee features several extra molding and detail over his body making him a bit different from other G1 Transformers R.E.D figures. For those wondering about scale, we can see that Bumblebee is as tall as other R.E.D characters like Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave. No respect for the scale here.

95% of the time? Works out pretty well. Then you get an odd duck like this. Not enough for me to drop my expectations.
bellpeppers
And how’d that work out for you?

Sorry to hear that. But the fact that someone or something let you down at some point doesn't mean you were wrong to have expectations to begin with.
MehWave
Said the dude who's been throwing around comments like "butt-hurt," and "Preparation H." LOL
Nobody here is mad, dude. We're simply making an accurate observation that this line deviates from a lot of precedent and that it's perfectly reasonable for the majority of fans to have expectations based on precedent.
And speaking of experience, I actually have some experience in marketing, and can tell you that consumer expectation is in most cases a significant consideration. It's what drives things like brand recognition, which I am pretty sure is something Hasbro cares about.
bellpeppers
Experience Lad. You should learn to appreciate it.
bellpeppers
Me? And what do you think you guys have been doing for the last few pages? Getting mad and stuff. Saying I said things I never said.
I’m not the one keeping this going. You are. Want it to stop?
then cut the crap and knock it off.
And apply some preparation h while you are at it.
you look at other lines and expect something from this one. And is mad because it didn’t happen. I’d certainly call that entitlement.
MehWave
Who hurt you, bud? It's clearly left a mark, LOL

Then, with all due respect, as I mentioned before: we can agree to disagree. That is a reasonably subjective interpretation and I’d rather not continue going back and forth.
MehWave
This again makes no sense. They couldn't have lied, because they never mentioned scaling to begin with. That doesn't mean that fans don't have expectations based on previous product lines. This line missed the mark with most fans' expectations. Honestly, I have no dog in this race, because I never planned to pick it up anyway.
bellpeppers
If you look at that page, their statements, objectives, sketches, and desired range of characters I truly believe that there is an implication at a uniformity of various aspects of these figures- including size.
harrisongibb
There’s nothing entitled about expecting what every other toy line in recent memory has done. It isn’t the end of the world, but we think it’s bizarre. You have taken this to another level for god knows what reason.
bellpeppers
It’s a lesson I’ve learned.
harrisongibb
Are you saying they specifically suggested these figures would not scale? Omitting any reference to scaling cannot reasonably be interpreted as a lie in any possible way.
bellpeppers
I prefer the word “entitled”.
harrisongibb
I have learned my lesson. I vow to never again expect anything, despite the reasonable standards gleaned from decades of toy collecting.
bellpeppers
so, are you saying that you were expecting them to be lying in their marketing? And now you’re butt hurt because they weren’t?
harrisongibb
I definitely expected them to scale, I thought your reference to assumptions was in regards to how I interpreted your posts.
If it’s possible for you to never hold any expectations for something like a new Transformers line then I’m duly impressed, that’s remarkable. I guess the vast majority of collectors who also held these expectations are assholes.
bellpeppers
Seriously?
Are you suddenly going to say that you never assume or expect figures to scale? Because that all you guys have been saying: that because some other line scales this one should too.
