According to an article in Deadline, actress Dominique Fishback is about to land the lead role in Transformers 7.
Dominique Fishback has been involved in TV and movie productions since 2013 to recent productions like “Project Power” and “Judas And The Black Messiah”. According to the article, Dominique is in final negotiations to co-star with Anthony Ramos in the next Transformers movie (directed by Steven Caple Jr and expected by June 24, 2022). We had reported previously that Dominique Fishback and Kiandra “KiKi” Layne were considered for this role.
There’s also a bit of interesting information about the movie from the article:
“Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters are writing based off a script by Joby Harold. Skydance is co-financing and executive producing. New Republic Pictures is also a co-financing partner.”
It looks like Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and his production company are out of this production. No mention of either of them at all. Click on the discussion link below and let us know your impressions on the 2005 Board!

I think I read they were childhood friends so that's why she won the role, she had the best chemistry with Ramos.
Magnum Dongus
They seem to have good chemistry. Hopefully they’ll be good characters

I think she’s just the casting director, not a part of the cast itself

I don't rem which XMen movie it was where they asked Logan for help and he told them to GFY, but thats what I hope they have Optimus do in a cameo next time so the story wont kill him or screw up his character even more than netflix did.

Probably also one of the reasons why it was at night. Much easier to hide stuff incase you missed it in the short creation time than it would if it was day (plus the atmosphere of it being night while the Autobots are trying to escape is better than if it was day).

I think the main reason the Bumblebee scene looked video game-ish was because it was done so close to release. They weren’t even going to have a Cybertron scene initially, so it’s understandable that it doesn’t look perfect. The vfx artists did a pretty good job considering that imo
BIOMEC
Yeah it looks like a video game, the best Cybertron scenes were from DotM imo.

Yeah thats another thing that sucks about the opening scene in the Bumblebee movie. Straight up Gwunner pandering. But that wasnt my point. My point was that scene was the first (and only) time in all 6 movies that everything looked fake like a video game instead of like a live action movie.

the most you'll get when it comes to practicall effects for transformers are like the bumblebee model made for ss7 scene in the 07 movie or the bumblebee bust overlayed with cg used in the bumblebee movie
BIOMEC
The CGI robots already look like their cartoon counterparts…

Im open to a Cybertron movie if they can mske it look like star wars. But why limit it to Cybertron ? Why not other planets all in the same movie ? Other non-robot life forms ? Why not ? Just make it live action and not a cartoon.

I'm sure our man will argue, "well these are drawings (comics) and are not real, if they had a real person (human) in them and looked less like a video game it would be real"
Nova Maximus
So you never want a Cybertron movie? Cause they would never use practical sets for that since there wouldn't be humans on it. And even if there were it would be very limited and mostly blue screen unless they use the same tech the Mandalorian uses.
Also not all continuities. So I wouldn't use that as a reason to not have a movie on Cybertron.

I have never seen someone so confident in a subject they clearly know utterly nothing about.

I want them to do whatever they have to do to keep live action movies with CGI from looking like a glorified cartoon. Non CGI objects including but not limited to living creatures, actual structures or dioramas, and earth backdrops seem to be the only thing that helps. One of the biggest fails in every TF continuity is that it always seems to be nighttime on Cybertron and the sky always seems to look like outer space. Why ? In star wars the planets have atmospheres and sunlight. The sunlight goes a long way in producing shadows and glare. This makes CGI a lot less cartoon like. And yes, less video game like.
