Via Mechanic Toy Weibo we have images of the color prototype of Mech Fans Toys MS-28 Thunderbolt (Legends Scaled G1 Blitzwing).
Thunderbolt is a very nice little triple changer showing off a cartoon-accurate, detailed and poseable robot mode and pretty integrated and compact alt modes. Another impressive piece for the competitive Legends scale market. This figure stands 12 cm tall in robot mode. A gun and a sword are included, and an extra bonus for the first pre-orders has been announced too: A Transformers Animated inspired head.
We still have no concrete information on release date or price, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates. Click on the bar to see the mirrored images and then join to the discussion on the 2005 Boards!

I've always grouped IF Blitzwing with the old CHUG astrotrain and octane. He's smaller than them, but his alt modes are also smaller than their analogous.odes, so it kinda works.

Closest you'll find at this point is the old Iron Factory Blitzwing… a bit hard to find these days, and he's very IDW styled, but he's your best bet for a Core Class line-up. Unfortunately IF never did Astrotrain or Octane, so no matter what you're stuck with a single Triple Changer if you go that route.

Oof yeah, he’s humongous. I’m still waiting for someone to make a core scale blitzwing lol. Thanks for the photo
gaseous clay
He doesn't at all, he's already slightly tall for regular legends figures, he towers over the official cores:

Can anyone post some comparison pics of this guy next to some regular chug core figures? I want to see how he scales with those guys

Had to take mine out again tonight… such a great figure.

Yeah, it does have the swivel at the legs but it's limited. I was disappointed with the lack of wrist rotation that would have been simple to add to be honest but expected it as I looked at reviews of all the various Blitzwings out there.
My true biggest pet peeve is no storage on the robot's back so he's stuck always holding them.
But I wasn't looking at it as a masterpiece type, but as a really "accurate" upgrade to the original G1 version, and for that, he's absolutely fantastic.
No questions about it, if the latest Hasbro was even close to being like this one, it would have been 100x better… it someone was to just upscale this guy, add the wrist rotation, give a way to attach the weapons in the back, as a mainline figure he would be "perfect".
I just love how between the jet and tank mode, it really is pulling on the original engineering and can be done with just a few simple steps.

Same here. Received it Saturday and is a great toy.
Only missing some waist swivel and an abcrunch, but yes, nice one indeed.

Just got one… I debated for a while, and in part it's due to how bad the latest Hasbro one ended up. For full scale for mainline, my TR one is absolutely fine, but every time I saw this one, I'd be amazed to how he looked like an updated version of the G1 original, including the 3 modes AND the transformation. With the Black Friday sales, I decided to go for it.
It arrived today and I am not disappointed.

I love this guy

I got this guy and Iron Sky in today. I'm honestly a little disappointed in Iron Sky (it's a little too simple), but I'm really happy with Thunderbolt. Looks great in all 3 modes. Glad they didn't integrate the nose cone as part of the tank mode. I've never liked that aspect of him in the cartoon design.
TurtleCaps
they're awesome and fit in good scale wise. Astrotrain and Blitzwing are both top notch, octane is the lesser of the 3 but good to complete the trio or for reenactments of the Ghost of Starscream episode. View attachment 29467376

The pic is terrible (sorry) but there they are with MS Soundwave, Shockwave and Thundercraker. For me they scale perfectly. I tend to image them as "brute" and also i don't go much by scale charts.
Pretty neat figures at a reasonable price.

How do these triple changers compare to Magic Square scale wise?

Glad to hear it worked out for you, looking forward to the pics. Definitely one of my favourite purchases of 2021. I don’t collect legends really but this was a treat since I’m a Blitzwing fan and I completely get the craze for these legends scale figures. They’re incredible.
I still want a KO upscale to Generations scale some day though.

On the other side, I use Henkei Astrotrain with my legend+ collection with MFT Octane and Blitzwing, because:
1. I like the classic Astrotrain mode, and I think it's ok for Astrotrain to be slightly taller than Blitzwing and Octane.
2. classic Octane mode is pretty bad in my opinion, so I will replace it with MFT's excellent modle.

Thanks for reply. Based on what I've seen on the internet, I've noted the following…
I'll get Thunderbolt off of BBTS and post comparison pics on this thread when he arrives.

I do not have those 2 figures, but ms thunderbolt is about half a head shorter than siege hound and sideswipe. Maybe this could help?
Crobot91
Thanks for the feedback guys.

Way too small, he’s about small deluxe height if you really squint at him.
