really. i couldn't even find it on amazon
Dinobot Snarl
Ah so just use toy colored Scurges as Sweeps or look for an animation error to pattern the Scourge face.

My pre-orders from Amazon just got pushed back to early October.
michael mercado
don't matter. i pre order and found a site that doesn't charge me shipping. i'm good

yeah, seems like one is welcome to purchase as many Scourges as one wants for Sweeps, while if one prefers unique, Hasbro can release that (I loved the alternate Sweep headmaster head Takara did in Legends, hope this look like that)

My best guess for sweeps would a slight paint variant.
A shift in the blue.
Darker?
Lighter?
That and a tweak to the face.
Clean shaven.

If I were a betting man, I'd say the Sweep is gonna be minimally different than SS86 Scourge, at least one of two, if not both: a different shade of blue (and slightly different paint apps) and a retooled head.
Yes, HasTak has been all about screen accuracy, but more than that they're about making money. Even if some collectors get suckered into buying again the exact same toy in a box with a new name, most people won't even notice the new name. "My boy already has that blue bearded one", and continue browsing for something else.
I definitely won't buy the same toy again. If I wanted Scourge and Sweeps that look identical, I would havd ordered multiple Scourges like most people that wanted that already have. A different figure, even if only minimally will make me consider it (the mlre different, the more likely I'll buy a second version of the mold).
G.B. Blackrock
I'm not offended. Just saying if it's a Sweep that looks different from Scourge, it's NOT toon accurate. So the premise that SS86 is staying faithful to toon accuracy, if the Sweep isn't identical to Scourge, is flawed.
As has been pointed out, there ARE toy Sweeps that are slightly different from Scourge. Nothing wrong with that, so long as toon accuracy isn't your goal. But if you're looking for toon accuracy, you may as well just buy multiple Scourges.
WolverineDragon
I made that post as speculation that Hasbro won't try to reissue the same figure and may find a way to make a sweep look a bit different while still looking like Scourge. If they do reissue Scourge as a Sweep without any slight physical changes then they're just giving you Scourge but with a different name. If you take that as an offense to my post as giving away cartoon accuracy then that's your problem. I'm not gonna argue other the aethestics of how a toy looks.
Fenrys
It's the same price as comparable 6" figure lines and more bang for the buck since you are effectively getting a minimum of 3 toys with a transformer (action figure, vehicle/animal, and puzzle), especially since many of those other 6" figure lines constantly reuse bodies for different characters.
G.B. Blackrock
Just to be crystal clear, the entire point of my pointing out that Sweeps look exactly like Scourge in the cartoon is in response to this post (bolded for emphasis):
RoadPigJohn
Actually I have 6 from the Titan Return and 6 from the Cyberverse… I didn't know there are more coming for Studio Series 86?
Nova Maximus
Scourge clones suck.
Distinct Sweeps rule.
