Kiki wont do much to a joint that size, especially if the issue is the ratchet.
the best way to fix the ratchets on these big figures is to put a spacer in the ratchet joint itself. basically you want the spring to be compressed a little more than it already is so that its stronger.
If you have owned a leader class Sludge and how it had issues with the hips. the fix is the exact same thing.
Mr Grimm
When did you open it? I had an odd issue with the right shoulder ratchet on Skorponok, which would flop back down at the slightest touch. Going back to it after a few days, it was much stronger. I don’t know if it could be how they’re tied to the packaging? Maybe they’re stuck with the ratchet between positions, and it slowly sorts itself out after being released (like it stays ‘compressed’ for a bit)?

No, it does seem to have a ratchet, it just feels very, very loose. It can hold in dynamic poses still, but any sudden movement causes the ratchets to move. Not sure if I should take it apart right now, as I just applied the Kiki’s and I might wait until that dries completely before I try anything else.

If it doesn't ratchet, it could simply be missing that bit or it is broken. I would open it to assess what's up. Maybe both legs so you know what it should look like inside. If something is missing, you can probably fix that with 3D printed parts.

Does anybody else have an issue with the hip joints in their copy of Blackzarak being kind of loose? For some reason, on mine, all of the other ratchets are solid and tight, except in the right hip, which is incredibly loose by comparison (especially going outward), even with the screws fully tightened. It came out of the box that way, and I'm not sure if it's because someone lubricated the joint in the factory or if it's bad QC. I put some Kiki's into the bad joints for now, should I attempt to open it up and assess the issue, or try to find another copy without the QC problems?

No it's actually nice you shared it. See, I learned from it that GameStop was a no go! There is always something positive from any situation
ckhtiger
Sorry for the massive disappointment y'all. I wish I hadn't posted it.
UltimateMastermind
Gamestop is horrible when it comes to this
God Orion
That may explain why so many people can't order it then. I had never heard from this site before so I was wondering how they were rated.
Ikkstakk
I see what people are saying… I can add him to my cart, but when I try to check out it just says out of stock. It appears that if it was in stock at a local store, I could go pick it up, but it isn't.
The Crazy Collector
I’d pick this up in a heartbeat but it’s only available for “local pickup” and shipping isn’t available to my zip code… Oh well.
Treadshot 2.0
I HATE gamestops website. I feel like it intentionally tricks you into thinking stuff is still available when in practical terms it’s not available anywhere. I challenge you to find a location where you CAN buy that thing from them.
God Orion
They don't ship internationally… What a shame
TFXProtector
I'd go and buy him right now if I could find him. All of the zip codes I could think of (including Chicago and LA) and ZERO. It sucks so bad.
Ikkstakk
I do have an irrational love for Double Punch, but technically I could already do that with my second Black Zarak.
I do have an irrational love for Masterforce… but I'm not that irrational.
Girl Pants
Actutally destroy the head on one to get his two-head from Masterforce.

Turn one into doublepunch
Ikkstakk
I am sorely tempted to buy him a third time, but what the hell do I need with three Black Zaraks?
ckhtiger
Yeah, I'm not sure if it's available anywhere, but I thought I'd post it just in case it might help out someone.
