“What did he say his name was?”
“GALVATRON!”
It’s entirely possible you just read those lines in the voices of Rumble, and Galvatron respectively. A key character in the Transformers mythos introduced in Transformers the Movie, Galvatron is a popular character who has never had the amount of attention as his predecessor as Decepticon leader, Megatron. For years, fans have waited for the day Galvatron might receive a “definitive” version.
In 2021, 35 years from the debut of the original animated Transformers Movie, we are getting what seems to be the definitive version of Galvatron.
Ladies and Gentlemen, after a string of leaks, we give you: Transformers Kingdom Galvatron!
Revealed by @HalleyHanna on Twitter, this Galvatron looks to be a near-perfect representation of the mad Decepticon tyrant we all know and love. Unusually, Galvatron sports some battle damage paint apps on his design, in spite of these being largely phased out in more recent Kingdom and Earthrise releases. Galvatron’s armaments include his classic particle cannon on his arm, and two versions of his starship, the Revenge – which may be perfectly scaled for Haslab’s Unicron.
Overall, this is a very promising first look at what is sure to be the perfect Galvatron to complement the Cyclonus and Scourge currently out in the wild. Check out the pictures attached to this post.

I got the peg in once by accident, without realizing I'd done it or how. It really seems like this step is not needed at all for cannon mode – it is kept together by pressure from the treads – and not worth the risk of attempting.

Having just gotten Kingdom Galvatron myself, I just wanted to re-weigh my thoughts in on this discussion.
Unfortunately, "lifting and sliding in" is impossible to achieve for these tabs, because the lower chest plate blocks any clearance that would allow for that. The only way to win this game is not to play it at all; EITHER the tabs are too long, OR the slot is too long. Unless a little careful sanding is done on either end things have to be forcefully pushed and "broken in".
With that said… My tabs have been flattened into rounded bumps now, without any stress mark or shearing (which is what happened to Dogbomber's). They still hold in place and it's much easier to clip them in and out. HOWEVER taking in what Phamduc said, it does make sense not to push the tab in at a 90-degree perpendicular manner, but to sort of slide it in and out at an angle.
To Dogbomber: Assuming you haven't fixed/replaced your Galvatron my suggestion is that you apply a thin coat of superglue to the tab, let it dry out, try it out and apply more or sand down as necessary. Even with the tab gone it can still be made into a viable friction joint, methinks.

Thanks y'all. That is a great kit! I successfully performed the surgery using two flatheads with no scarring but, this damn sure would have been less taxing on the pucker muscles.
Cheebs
Yes, that's exactly what I bought. You use the center tool in that photo.
Autobrat Leader
It's an auto trim remover kit.

I'm super late here, but what kind of tool did you use? Sounds ideal.
Cerberus
Given how simple the mod was, i wonder why they simply didnt go with that placement as it seems obvious, the top one looks really out of place when you look at it
Cheebs
Thanks for the help, but I just got one of those nylon tools and did the shoulder surgery. It was amazingly easy with the tool.

Look at the picture that @Gepard posted.
The review from @PrimeVsPrime has the misassembled shoulders.
Cheebs
Can you show a picture? I'm not quite understanding.
daimchoc
You don't need to… I have the misassembled Galvatron, and you just need to rotate it. I was referring to alt mode.
Cheebs
Genius! I wish that was how they made it to begin with.
Gepard
I did @Cerberus 's mod from the review thread.
Oniconvoy
I’d recommend contacting a board-certified orthopedic surgeon for that problem.
Cheebs
Yeah, I have to pry my shoulders apart and flip them. I'm just scared to do it.
Cheebs
How are you storing the cannon adapter under the body like that? What is holding it up?
daimchoc
The ribbed part of the shoulders should be inside. Also, for display purposes, it's not supposed to be all right angles.
Murasame
That would be awesome, especially if it doesn't have battle damage.
Gepard
Here's how it looks with the correct shoulders. (The rear stand appears to be floating because of the wheels.)

Cheebs
The rear stand does not sit flush.
