Hasbro has officially revealed the first wave of a Vintage Beast Wars line of toys. These are the original toys with updated paint in classic style packaging. Primal and Megatron look to be using their Anniversary original molds. Cheetor has a sharp blue and yellow deco. Rattraps bubble card even seems to be using the rock bubble variant from years ago! The deluxes will be $19.99 and the Leaders will be $39.99. They will be available at the Walmart collector con on 3/15 which will feature new items from Hasbro and other brands. However, we have no official confirmation yet that they are Walmart exclusives. Assume that is the case with Wally’s previous vintage lines. Make sure to discuss over on the 2005 Boards and let us know what you think!

Rattrap's tooling is entirely new, while based on the sculpt of the original toy. The transformation is gappy in the photo above because the gearing has slipped a notch.

The lever is not supposed to go flat, it'll always stick out a bit. Unless you just mean parallel with the back itself?
DecepticusPrime
Theres little switches on each bicep. Try flipping those?

Hello, all! If anyone fancies, I have a new vid up. It's just a quickie, too!

Yep. Known issue with the gear mechanism. Has nothing to do with any degradation of being a reissue. My copy is fine. Should be an easy fix for you as above.
RacerCheetor
The figure possibly is thus precisely because it is a reissue, since the original was very firm, that proves that perhaps Hasbro sent the factory a used and half-worn mold instead of keeping the mold from 25 years ago (Since according to in an interview, said mold was lost).

I remember having a similar problem with my basic bat Optimus Primal way back in 1999…The teeth that make the spring mechanism work had skipped a tooth making it loose and gappy. I just had to gently force the right tooth back in the gear. Hope that makes sense. It is a simple problem which is hard to explain.

Whats up with this gap on Reissue Rattrap

As much as the prices are way past the point of ripoff and unacceptable, I am buying every single one of these! And this epic version of the theme is from another thread, but it’s too cool not to share!
Lion
Kinda forgot what a great looking bot mode Primal had.
DigitalBrave3
The reissue is more show accurate.
MegaPrime33
I feel like since I still have a decent amount of the originals, the only reissues I'd buy would be Rampage, Depth Charge and Tigerhawk. I just recently dug out TM primal and put him on display.

Which rattrap is more show accurate? 1996 or the reissue
Aigis
I like the color changes on them, especially Cheetor
