Rumors surrounding the upcoming Commander Class announcement have been heavy as of late, but a few days ago we got a couple glimpses at this year’s $80 price-point figure. Now, thanks to the Figusoku Twitter page, we officially have our first full look at Commander Class Rodimus Prime with images from Amazon Japan! With these pics we get a nice, clear look at his robot mode, some of his weapons, his vehicle mode, and his trailer’s base mode inspired by the original G1 toy! He also appears to have individually articulated index fingers for maximum pointing action!
In addition to Rodimus, we also have pics of Takara’s Studio Series Revenge of the Fallen Bumblebee and the Top Gun crossover figure, Maverick.
The Amazon Japan listing has a release date of August 1st 2021, but release info from Hasbro has yet to surface and likely will in their own reveals soon enough. In the meantime, check out the pics after the jump and be sure to share your thoughts and excitement in the discussion below!

I think you're right. I got a look at some of the other figures with Rodimus and he scales pretty well with them. I still think Optimus looks slightly shorter, but, I think you hit the nail on the head about Megatron. Much too small (but thankfully, not as short as Scourge). I'd buy an upgrade kit for him if it increased his height by giving his feet a lift, but I don't think anyone makes a kit specifically for the feet. I'd also like to make his legs thicker.. I don't think I'm going to be transforming him to tank mode again anyway

Rodimus is the same size as Optimus (maybe a hair smaller?) but his hands are indeed larger. This is done so he can hold the Matrix to mimick that scene from the movie/cartoon, or point his "end of the road" finger. I have to say that although I always hate the look of articulated hands on (MP) toys because they appear too big, having Rodimus in hand I'm not bothered.
Galvatron's size…I've got wfc Rodimus and Galvatron on my desk and Galvatron's about a head taller. Of course, this does make him too big since he should be the same size (and Cyclonus should be bigger), but it's not really an issue.
Actually, I'd argue that Megatron is too small. I don't know how Megatron fares against siege Optimus, but compared to ER Optimus I definitely feel Megatron is too short. Galvatron's size would've worked better.
But honestly, I consider all voyagers and leader sized wfc figures to be just a bit too short. At least when compared to the deluxes.

I just sent for this. Is there a reason why Rodimus and Galvatron are noticeably taller and larger than their predecessors? Galvatron is huge compared to Megatron, especially in the legs.. And look at Rodimus' hands compared to Prime!

It's generally a cost thing. Not the cost of the paint itself, but setting up the machine to paint it. I imagine that the flames took a lot of the budget for the painting apps, and the price was already high from the engineering side anyways.

I really love this mould, I already have 2 of them… I just wish it was bigger… I guess my only hope is if this gets KO'ed and upsized. Don't shoot me, I'm not condoning it, I know it wont happen!

I think, so that they can include it in an upcoming Studio Series 86 rerelease, along other missing details, and the closing trailer fixed.

Noticed yesterday that my Kingdom Rodimus has a crack on the translucent plastic windshield
I don't know if it's from the box since I been really careful to transform him when untabbing that part

Regretting not getting a second one when Amazon had him for quite cheap a month or so back.

I've had Rodimus since the end of July. My only concern is the back part of the trailer when I try to lower it… I always feel like I'm gonna break the damned thing.

People need stop talking in absolutes. What works for one person may not work for another. I tried this solution last night and it did nothing to fix the problem for me.

I did not remove the silver paint, just take the head apart and masking tape the red area.

Thanks for the "amenable" response. I think I got a bit lucky with the first sentence, to do with personal play ground being akin to revolution of comparing toys. The play ground reference is about the politics of equality, as in to "level the playing field".
Max Rawhide
Did you have to take the head apart for this (and remove the silver paint), or did you just paint over it while still one piece?

Silver rims.
