So I just watched these videos for the first time. The songs are alright, not as moving as “Dare” though.

The videos are… well, they’re something. Definitely using the 80s approach to making a music video, and nobody can do an air grab while reading a teleprompter like Stan!

Over the years I have acquired a disdain for his clinging to the brand. He made good songs for transforrrmers a long time ago. Maybe he reminds me of how people become irrelevant as they age. He just throw stuff out there and getting whatever head pats he can get.

See that's legitimate criticism.

Let’s face it…this music is way better than the Netflix series. So Stan for the win! Don’t care if he can’t find his sleeves, the voice still rocks!

His music definitely has a consistant style to it. I hate hearing a good song and then looking up the band only to find that the rest of their stuff is lame

Is there any evidence he's unhappy with his reputation? He's had 30 years to distance himself from Transformers and do something different, and most of his work is still '80s inspired rock. Not just his Transformers related work, but basically every album he's put out. You'd think if he was unhappy with his status as "the Transformers guy", he'd make an attempt to 'evolve' his style and do something different (especially in his personal albums, where he has the artistic freedom to do whatever he wants). It's been a while since I've heard some of his albums, but I can't recall anything too experimental.

I've always gotten the feeling that he's just a guy who loved the '80s and wants to preserve the era by continuing to making that style of music. That feels like his artistic passion. I mean, he could probably make more money by following current musical trends and making something more contemporary, but he seems to be making what he loves. That's what I get out of this song:

I always liked Dare more just because the synths fit with the movie way better, as they’re written by DiCola for the movie.

Dare is an underrated song. Transformers has a habit of defaulting to the Touch when they want to use an iconic piece of music, but I'd like to hear Dare get more references. In some ways I think it's a nice sounding song.

Stan Bush is still the only artist I buy every new released album from, without listening to it first! His style perfectly suits me, and never disappoints! I love the consistency of his songs, and I'm so very happy to see the new Transformers video! I love the reformatting gridline scenes!  

This was a wonderful surprise to see!

I'm never going to forget how kind and generous he was to me and my family at Botcon 2007, or, how fun his concerts were. I hope to see him perform live again someday!
