Or it's the companies requesting to do the G1 versions. I doubt they're approaching Hasbro without a vision of their product already in mind.

Like took a reshot the next day to replace it. I guess since it's not Hasbro they might fix their misgivings, unlike the many mistransformations they leave up.
Oniconvoy
They pushed it in.
THE-TRANSFORMER
I really dislike Minimates…. but yeah, I'm getting these.
dCon
How come the first page shows Shockwave with his neck extended out (hence, comments like E.T. were made) but here, same picture but his neck is regular? I understand that it's highly likely the neck could be pushed in anyway but why would the pictures not match?
Mumble-bee
for that much money these better be the old 3" minimates
yes and no. ArtAsylum went under but Diamond Select acquired the name & Minimates rights.
I was vaguely aware they still existed but haven't seen Minimates in any store, even the comic stores, in a long long time. There was a point where one could get them at Target.
maltesefalcon
was a huge collector of minimates but only one store sold them and they stopped years ago would have loved these back then but now it would just go in a box
Obsidian X
I kind of like that Shockwave… and that's about it.
scuffed up rts bumblebee
I'm surprised bumblebee isnt the worst
Electro Rush
Somehow Optimus is the worst looking of the bunch.
If these go on sale I might get them as neat desk toys.
Novaburnhilde
Maybe not so much Prime since you can probably thank that show's failure for Hasbro clinging to G1 so much these days.
scuffed up rts bumblebee
I think hasbro is forgetting that transformers would be nothing without shows like beast wars, armada, animated, prime etc

I want Shockwave. But I only want Shockwave, and while I love the way he looks, I do not love him enough to buy him for $30.
Soundwinder
I haven't bought Minimates in a while, but $30 for 4 figures seems excessive? Last I checked they were under $10 for a two-pack of equally licensed (if not more) characters, so this being $30 is rough.
That said, they do look shockingly nice for what they are and translate to the format really surprisingly well. For better or worse there is a lot of new tooling so that's also a thing.
I'd probably pick up a 2-pack if I saw it at Walgreens for $10 but all 4 for $30 is a no-go for me.
NemiMonkey
Quite like Shockwave and Op, but dunno about dropping $30 to get them and then getting stuck with BB and Screamer.
Not related but seeing these makes me miss Myclone all that much more.
just a transformers fan
PRIME WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HANDS?!

HASBRO TO FANDOM: "Fuck you, we're He-Man now. Enjoy the same six dudes over and over forever."
They're nifty little guys for what they are, but what they are is just Adult Collector Bullshit. There's nothing novel or interesting about them, they're just another form of Funko Pop/ReAction/copy-of-a-copy-of-a-copy Product™.
It's getting exponentially easier for me to not give a fuck about any of this stuff anymore, ever, unless they do something that's at least Unicron Trilogy-level different starting 2023.
DSTZach
YEs, $29.99 for a pack of four. Shockwave figure was assembled wrong, new pic below. He is not part ET.
I'm sure we'll get to paint variations at some point, I need a Skywarp.
Venixion
Umm, the faces look a little weird.
CheechDaddy
That's the price for the 4 pack, homie.
