We have quite an interesting rumor to share with your today. Via The Illuminerdy website we have a possible working title for the Transformers Beast Wars Movie & details about this production.
We have known about a Beast Wars movie in the works that is being developed in parallel to the next Transformers live-action movie (which already has Steven Caple Jr as director). We haven’t had any details about this Beast Wars movie, but according to The Illuminerdy article this film’s working title will be: Transformers: Beast Alliance. There are also some additional details about the story of this movie:
“Transformers: Beast Alliance takes place in the Bumblebee timeline and will be set in the 1990’s. The film will have the flavor of a heist film that will span from Brooklyn to South America”.
As usual, take this with a grain of salt until we find an official confirmation. Click on the discussion link below and let us know your impressions on the 2005 Board!

No, he doesn't speak. But if he did…
Fallout
not the first time kelsey grammer would be in a tf movie lol
Grand Slam
If they take inspiration from IDW or Disney, I’m out. Bumblebee was the reboot, even if it was a reluctant one, and it was done well.

Because movie.
Though, if you want….how about they're refugees? The premise is that the Maximals took on organic alts to better hide on Earth but not be limited by vehicles that would draw attention.
The zoo serves as a sector 7 staging area to provide shelter for Cybertronian/Maximal refugees. They take on various alts to help keep up the zoo appearance.
The reveal would be the land bridge underneath that they use to deploy on various missions.
Or if you don't wajt to go that far: Just have a few Maximal refugees who took on beast modes to hide in plain sight. A few of them took on exotic animals because they wanted the pampered life and got put in zoos…but guys like Rattrap, K9, and Airazor wanted to live free and explore.

We had G1 guys for the past 14 years. The franchise currently barely supports *one* movie let alone a movieverse.
Any BW movie would likely be just like the Bay films in that it'd take the names and put them in a new scenario with different designs.
It's stupid to think BW can't exist alongside G1 when it did literally that back in the day.
DarkRed401
i still think the maximals will either appear from time traveling or be unearthed, maybe by wheeljack as reference to the dinosaur bones they uncovered and inspired them to make the dinobots. also i think they'll have them be fictional animals as an excuse for why they're so big kinda like what they do with kong and skull island animals; based on real creatures but bigger and with elements of early mammals

Would SnakeEyes shout 'Timber!' before firing Timber at some trees?

While you're not wrong about how merging different scripts/stories can work with the right people in hand in this case it feels like they're being way too eager to bring in BW at the expense of the G1 people getting the G1 styled film they've been waiting for all these years. I mean as much as I want to see a BW movie happen I don't want to see it come at the expense of other fans. That being said if they DO find a way to establish BW in the movie that doesn't interfere with the G1 portion for the G1 fans as well as not forced in then I'd be happy about it.
As for the setting I'd be glad if they took notes from stories like King Kong and the Lost World where the BW cast land on an uncharted island in the present day where prehistoric animals still thrive along with megafauna versions of modern day animals exist thus allowing the prehistoric essence be retained while also it to do it's own thing. Would also be an effective way to explain why characters like Rattrap and Waspinator have alt modes that are the same size as a rhino and a gorilla.
Hobbes-timus Prime
The part I keep running up against with Beast Wars and live-action is the in-universe reason of "why take those alt. modes." The Beast Wars cartoon had a great reason, but it's a very specific situation. But in a movie set in modern day, mingling with Bumblebee and humans…why be a rhino, exactly?
Unless that's the "heist" element of it. Some crazy rich guy has a private artifact collection that includes an ancient Cybertronian thing that fell to Earth a thousand years ago, blah, blah, blah…and he also collects exotic animals. "Put on the rhino costume, we're going in."

I mean… Hasbro does seem suddenly interested in Beast Wars…
I do however join you with a grain of salt.

Just because a few different scripts come together doesn't mean the movie will be bad.
You just need a talented hand to pull the elements together. Michael Bay wasn't that.
A BW movie that includes them in the established Bee Movie universe would be smart. You'd leverage the popularity of those established characters to introduce the beast guys.
From there, you could do your spinoffs.
Hell, a modern BW animated series set in modern day could be really good. Have them hang out in a Zoo with an underground land bridge and they deploy on various missions across the globe.

I'm still taking this whole Beast Alliance thing with a grain of salt. Trying harder to win back fans with both the Bumblebee and Sonic the Hedgehog films have greatly benefited Paramount in recent years and I can't see them throwing away all that good will out the window to again use a method that made them suffer big time like with TLK. Not to mention that Hasbro has more control over the media side of things for better or worst so I can't see them allowing the TLK method being used again.
So unless we get actual official proof of this being real or not I'm not buying it.
DarkRed401
im cautiously optimistic about the film, i think it's best to wait for more maybe a trailer till we can determi.e it's good or bad since a 2 sentence summary that tries to be vague isn't going to properly represent the film. at worst this film will be just like bayverse at the very best it could be like sam raimi's spider man or shazam.
this isn't towards most people who are critical of what we know about this film but sometimes i feel like some people who want something g1 dont man a homage like bumblebee but almost like a lengthy recreation of an episode with rtx
Hobbes-timus Prime
Might not be Beast Wars-y at all. Maybe this is, like, a new take on Targetmasters, etc. Loyal pets that become weapons and stuff. Snake Eyes and Timber, except Timber can become a rocket launcher.
Or maybe its just Beast Wars.

I sure wish I could find the people apparently asking for 'carbon copies' of whatever when talking about movies.
T-Hybrid
It doesn't need to carbon copy the original series to be a Beast Wars movie, is the thing.

Optimus Prime: We need your help.

Optimus Prime: Yes.
Beast: When do we start?

So if they film in South America, I think it would be for "Past" scenes. Like this place yells prehistoric times:
Who knows….
DarkRed401
while we dont have direct confirmation all the info points to the latter, we know the bw film was being written by james vanderbilt while a movie set sometime after the events of bumblebee is being written by joby harold which is confirmed to be this film, technically since beast wars for the next film hasn't been confirmed it's possible the movie focuses on dinobots or something
i think evangelion is the best example of technorganic transformations that would be fitting for beastwars
Bezuul
I think it'd be best to do CGI Transformer movies direct to streaming like DC comic cartoon movies. I only liked the completely animated bits from Bumblebee. Get Paul Dini back to work and let's catch up with the Beast Wars/Beast Machines crew after that weird unity ending.
