Thanks to 2005 Board member Hotconvoy we can share for you our first sighting of the Transformers Rescue Bots “Classic Heroes Team” Optimus Prime & Bumblebee at US Retail.
While the Rescue Bots cartoon may have finished, it seems we are still getting new toys in shelves this 2021. Both figures are labeled under the “Classic Heroes Team” sub-imprint and they are redecos of Rescan Bumblebee from 2015 and Rescan Optimus Prime from 2020. These figures were found Target in Colorado. Additionally, 2005 Board member griffin-of-oz is giving us the heads up that these Rescue Bots toys are also available via Entertainment Earth and Amazon website.
Great gifts for young Rescue Bots fans. Click on the bar to see the mirrored images on this news post and then share your impressions on the 2005 Board!

I picked up the Heatwave at Target a few months back. Haven’t seen Chase at retail yet. View attachment 29212328

prime and bee got some slight redeco
not spotting anything new on heatwave or chase other than the packaging
presumably blades and boulder will follow – maybe blades will finally get the lower part of his front bubble painted.

I still need to track down the Bumblebee and High Tide from that release. At this point, though, it might be pretty tough.

I got my kids the energize versions of the og team used from eBay and FB. The one I saw in target the other day is pathetic by comparison. Hollow trash compared to the solid figure from ten years ago.

I don't think that's going to happen for a while. Rescue Bots was all about non-violent problem solving. Not sure how you'd square that with a mainline release unless the story arc specifically focuses on that.
Aberration
My biggest wish right now is for Studio Series Rescue Bots, the distinction being I'd like Generations-level engineering, but without adding unnecessary surface detail or making the color schemes less cartoony. I'd take what I can get if they ever choose to promote those characters to a mainline though.
I'm still sad that they haven't found a way to release the large High Tide figure here (the submarine, not his combined mode), I hope that can happen somehow before they call it quits on the franchise.
Venixion
I liked the early RB figs. The newer ones that came from Academy onward? Not so much.

That's great news. The show is still available on a few streaming sites, and from personal experience it was a gateway for my son to get interested before he started growing in to Cyberverse.
Hopefully that'll be enough to keep the line afloat, or Hasbro wil figure out a way to keep a presence in that part of the toy department.

I think we already knew about them, but they are out at retail, I saw them the other day at Target in Colorado!

The cartoon may have ended, but that doesn't mean Hasbro won't still be pimping out the toys and characters for years to come.
Each year the packaging for Rescue Bots changes, and this year the packaging has the sub-logo of "Classic Heroes Team" … which Entertainment Earth is calling "All-Stars", so it could all just be existing characters.
The first wave of Rescan bots for 2021 has the Bumblebee car and Optimus (trailer version) Truck, that are both minor redecos of previously released toys in the Rescan size class (according to my records, this 1st wave of CHT is wave 33 since that size class began, waaaay back in 2014).
Entertainment Earth has their release date being February, but they were both in-stock on Amazon early last month, so could be out in stores by now as well.
Hopefully they are releasing other toys this year under this new banner, and maybe some new molds. The longer this line lasts, the more fans will hound Hasbro to give us some GEN toys of Rescue Bots characters.
