The official Transformers Instagram have just uploaded our first images of the new Transformers R.E.D G1 Bumblebee and Coronation Starscream.
These are non-transforming posable figures with a great cartoon-accurate design. As with other R.E.D figures, they will be released as Walmart exclusives in the US. This new wave is scheduled for release in April 2021.

I cancel my pre order in the app and buying them from this store…✌️

Here is another close up…

I just at my local Walmart the Starscream and Bumblebee figures and Bumblebee looks SO big…

I'm counting on the rumoured Leader Coronation Starscream to be just that. I've never really been satisfied with just add ons to regular Starscream figures to represent him. Starscream had definitely got himself quite a makeover for his big day, and then Galvatron crashed the party and ruined it.

Best cleaning Transformer ever… Now we just need a complete set… washing machine, drier, etc…✌️
Hicks_Royel
Well, there's only response I have to that…

To keep them in the cleaning room

Really? Why are all the Buzzworthy Bumblebee toys at only Target then?
Gee Won 1984
He kind of looks like a bunch of cube's corners were filed down and assembled into a robot body. Looks more like the Mash-Em Starscream than the cartoon Starscream.

And Scourge and Cyclonus look waaaaay off:

Though, I would like some lavender and white Constructicons.

Astrotrain is drawn more stylized in that scene as well.

By your logic between these two frames Optimus got an upgrade too…

And as far as him being the only character drawn differently – it's worth pointing out that in animation characters are often drawn separately and by different people and then layered into a scene using transparency. That's how you end up with shots like this…

I can appreciate that. Hopefully some day they will.

It's not just beveled edges. Look at the size of his chest and the intakes next to his head. Look how small his head is. Look how huge his forearms are.
Starscream is the only character in that scene drawn differently than he appears in the rest of the movie.
If Astrotrain, the Constructions, etc also appeared stylized, enlarged, and fancier in the coronation scene, then I would buy that it was just a different animation company doing a single scene and going off model. But it is just Starscream.
Couple that with nobody really going off model in the entire rest of the movie, and couple that with Starscream's large ego, and I don't know how it can be interpreted as anything else than Starscream commissioning a better body for himself to go along with his better standing in the ranks.
Either way, I want a coronation toy that looks like that.
PoweredConvoy
Starscream's different look is just artistic expression. Trying to make him look really cool and powerful, before dying.

That Rodimus look more like the new figure coming up from Kingdom…

I don't know that I can agree that it's an upgraded body. Aside from the pauldrons a few extra beveled edges don't make an upgrade IMO. And animated movies often use different animation groups for different scenes. To me this always just felt like a case like Call of the Primitives where the artists working on that scene went a little above and beyond on the line work.

Which I think he looks great…

All pictures from the movie. The coronation scene uses an upgraded body.

Was it an upgrade or was it simply a better animation model for a movie with a bigger budget than a TV show? I always assumed it was just the latter.
