Thanks for the update!

@col My aftersales request with ShowZ was updated to state that they received the parts, so you might have similar luck.

Cool, thanks, worth a try at least.

I currently have a request open with ShowZ for this figure, so I'll post if they're able to source the parts.

you won't be able to get them directly from IF but you should be able to through a retailer. i would suggest trying ShowZ. i'm very positive that IF will give you the hip replacements as i've had to twice now at two different times as i own two copies. and i got them both times without any incident and it was a long time after purchasing them. however, you'll have to pay for shipping since it was not bought from them.

Is there any way to contact Iron Factory directly? My Heat Death’s hips finally broke, and I purchased him off eBay ages ago. I’m sure my chances of getting a replacement are slim to none, but I’d like to give it a shot.

From my experience, completely fine. No problems so far.

How are the hip joints on the red one?

Letting go of both of my copies of this mold. Both in great condition and come with original packaging. no known issues but some Kiki’s was applied to tighten their joints. TM2 Megatron is missing his left open / gripping hand however but otherwise complete.
Cryotek even comes with a blast effect for the dragon head.

It took me legit five minutes to get the subtle sarcasm sheesh! HAHAHAHA
As a file it doesnt let me upload it and i dont know if i can post google drive links, as i am relatively new. so any advise on how to share it would be greatly appreciated, honestly ^^
Nvm, when reaplying, a big notification says that with 3 posts i can add links to my replies, so i will try.

Let me know if the link works ok

if you submit all the proper notarized forms. i am pretty sure they will approve it by the time it leaves the final committee.
but seriously feel free to share it and thanks for designing that. i know the guys who have that mold will greatly appreciate it

While i was waiting for my replacements i was able to replicate the dragon arms shoulders on fusion 360. It's only a prototype, so if you are able to print it on resin and test it, let me know of how can i share it on the forum that is acceptable in the rules.

After a good 1.5 years of it being on my shelf in robot mode two parts broke the first time I tried to transform it. First the leg socket which was an easy fix but then the black skeleton which attaches the dragon head/robot arm broke without even feeling like it was tight. Is this just a case of plastic deterioration?

Did you get around to designing these or found anyone who has? He's a really cool figure and a shame I can't handle him without his joints turning into dust
Hariel957
Some common trends i've been notificing on this specific figure breakages are:
1.- almost all broken pieces are on heavy stress areas, like joints and some tabs like the one fixing the head assembly to the torso.
2.- most of the broken parts are the black plastic ones.
Mine has broke on the dragon arm shoulder, both of them, the robot mode legs at the joint that connects them to the hip and the mentioned tap at the neck connection to the torso.
I suspect it to be the type of plastic (abs i think) and the fact that it is too tight on some areas.
I am now learning some fusion 360 and if i can i will desgin 3d printable replacements for the black plastic areas mainly,
If anyone else did it already i would love to test them.

After mine broke and got a replacement I decided not to touch mine. It's never even been transformed once. Looks great on the shelf though

One point for IronFactory.
Broke the inner socket connecting the arms while posing the figure the first time . A few weeks later opened my Weibo account and contacted iron factory. Got their reply the same day (2nd Aug)and today the replacement part arrived.
Now I can start worrying about the rest of the figure….I really want to transform him into dragon mode
